Summary Generated by Built In

We are excited to be growing our renewables and power generation capability on the back of huge opportunity with long-standing clients. Come build a project with us!

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join GHD’s national Delivery Phase Services (DPS) Energy business, based in either our Melbourne or Brisbane office.

This is an opportunity to lead the delivery of major energy projects, not just advise from the sidelines. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to solve complex delivery challenges and turn opportunities into successful projects.

Your industry knowledge, client relationships and track record in delivering large-scale energy or infrastructure projects will also help us grow our project delivery business.

What’s in it for you?

  • Lead major energy projects through execution across wind, solar, battery energy storage systems and power generation.
  • Work directly with leading developers, owners and delivery partners on complex projects across Australia.
  • Build and lead multidisciplinary teams, drawing on capability from across GHD.
  • Get closer to project delivery, construction and site activities, not just design.
  • Play a genuine role in growing our Delivery Phase Services business and shaping new opportunities.
  • Join an agile national team where senior people are trusted to lead, make decisions and get things done.

This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of major projects from mobilisation through to completion.
  • Building trusted client relationships and identifying opportunities to create further value.
  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams and aligning them around clear project outcomes.
  • Managing safety, scope, programme, cost, quality, commercial performance and risk.
  • Working closely with site-based teams, contractors, original equipment manufacturers and delivery partners.
  • Leading proposals, budgets and delivery programmes for execution-phase work.
  • Mentoring team members and helping build a practical, collaborative and high-performing culture.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Significant experience leading energy, power generation or major infrastructure projects through development and execution.
  • Strong project management fundamentals across safety, scope, programme, cost, quality and risk.
  • Experience working with owners, developers, EPC or D&C contractors, original equipment manufacturers or engineering consultants.
  • The confidence to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex technical and commercial interfaces.
  • Strong commercial judgement and an ability to build trusted client relationships.
  • Experience developing proposals, budgets and schedules for project delivery.
  • A practical, collaborative style and willingness to roll up your sleeves when a project needs it.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant discipline.
  • Construction management or site delivery experience will be highly regarded.

Why GHD and DPS?

You’ll have the backing and technical depth of an established global, employee-owned organisation, combined with the opportunity to help build a growing Delivery Phase Services business.

For the right person, this is more than another project management role. It is an opportunity to lead major projects, build a team and client base, and help shape how we deliver the next generation of energy infrastructure in Australia.
