The Role

IMEG is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Electrical team in Manhattan, New York. As the primary point of contact for projects of all sizes and complexities, you will lead a team of engineers and consultants to deliver innovative electrical solutions for a variety of building and infrastructure projects. You will ensure project completeness, accuracy, and on-time delivery within budget, while upholding IMEG and client standards. Principal Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, oversee, and manage projects ranging in size and complexity; serve as the point of contact for teams and clients
  • Collaborate with business development staff, Project Executives, Client Executives, and Market Directors/Leaders during the initial stages of project opportunities
  • Assist Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes of work, fee calculations for proposals, and contract reviews
  • Create project schedules, including targets for milestones and deadlines
  • Prepare monthly billings, submit financial information to Accounting, and update billing projections and estimated completion percentages for all projects
  • Collaborate with design staff and coordinate project scheduling during all phases of design and construction
  • Ensure design follows owner standards, IMEG standards, and code requirements; ensure milestone deliverables and quality control processes are completed
  • Prepare project status reports, schedule and lead progress meetings, and provide meeting documentation
  • Lead project interviews and presentations
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff
  • Build, maintain, and develop client relationships
  • Respond to and resolve client/construction concerns; manage change orders and obtain appropriate approvals

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or higher, in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a similar related field preferred
  • Minimum 10 years required, 12 years preferred, of project management, construction management, or related experience
  • Ability to make decisions, solve problems and think analytically
  • Excellent organization, multi-tasking, and critical task scheduling skills
  • Active listening and superior communication skills both orally and written
  • Ability to provide clear direction, motivation, and support
  • Ability to identify potential risks and take measures to mitigate before they negatively impact projects
  • Ability to react quickly and positively in all communication
  • Competency in managing large projects and/or a significant volume of small to medium projects for key clients annually
  • Demonstrated financial success on projects managed
  • Knowledge and understanding of Engineering disciplines, design, and technical aspects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for client project success and internal project team engagement This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

  • IMEG’s electrical engineers design power distribution, lighting, and specialty electrical systems for buildings and infrastructure, from medium-voltage campus power to facility interior layouts

  • Tools and technologies include AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and AGi32, supporting smart building and renewable energy integration
  • The team is recognized for its multidisciplinary approach, ensuring seamless integration and code compliance across all project types
  • IMEG’s electrical designs support high-performance, energy-efficient outcomes for clients

Locations available: Manhattan, NY

State of New York Salary Range: $181,587 - $217,905

Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
