The Sr. Project Manager, eDiscovery Services serves as a trusted advisor to legal teams and clients, independently leading complex eDiscovery matters and developing defensible strategies that leverage technology across the discovery lifecycle. The role manages scope, cost, risk, quality and delivery, requiring sophisticated knowledge of eDiscovery technology, corporate information systems, emerging data sources and the ability to translate technical issues into practical recommendations.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead complex eDiscovery matters across identification, preservation, collection, processing, analysis, review, privilege and production, serving as the primary contact for legal teams, clients and stakeholders.
  • Advise lawyers, clients and corporate IT teams on defensible strategies for traditional and emerging data sources, including Microsoft 365, Teams, Slack, mobile device data, cloud repositories and structured data.
  • Develop strategies for data reduction, search, analytics and AI review, including search term calibration, conceptual analytics, continuous active learning/TAR, statistical sampling and validation.
  • Manage review workflows for responsiveness, privilege, confidentiality, quality control, productivity and reporting.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, work plans and resource requirements; monitor scope, costs, vendor spend and delivery risks.
  • Oversee vendors providing forensic collection, processing, hosting and managed review services.
  • Prepare matter metrics and reporting on data volumes, review progress, quality, costs and timelines.
  • Maintain defensible documentation of key decisions, methodologies, assumptions, validations and quality control activities.
  • Escalate and resolve complex issues involving projects, technology, vendors and client service.
  • Mentor Project Managers and Project Analysts through coaching, delegation, review of work product and guidance on active matters.
  • Contribute to standards, playbooks, technology evaluation, process improvement and professional development initiatives.
  • Monitor eDiscovery case law, industry standards and emerging technologies and apply relevant developments to matter strategy and team practices.

This position is remote and can therefore be located in any city where we have a US office. Flexibility to visit the office for training or meetings is required.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible eDiscovery, litigation support, legal technology or related consulting experience, including independent management of complex matters.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, resources, delivery risks and outside providers.
  • Extensive experience with analytics and technology assisted review (TAR) workflows, including continuous active learning, conceptual analytics and validation; experience with AI or generative AI review tools preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Relativity/RelativityOne or comparable enterprise eDiscovery platforms required; Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate IT systems and client IT collaboration for identification, preservation and collection strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly to legal teams, clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently and consistently deliver quality results.
  • Ability to train, mentor, delegate to and review the work of Project Analysts and Project Managers while remaining engaged in matter delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively under rigorous deadlines and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations or under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to support urgent matters and global stakeholders, including early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends.
