About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager, Data and Analytics to support our Data Insights and Analytics team. This individual will guide multi-disciplinary technology teams in the achievement of technical project objects of complex and strategic programs.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of agile methodologies, project management and extensive experience working with data and analytics projects. Proficiency in Jira and other project management tools is essential. As a Data Project Manager, you will be responsible for partnering closely with our members of our business community, product owners, development and QA team members to deliver high performing digital data products while adhering to quality metrics, timelines and budgets. 
This position will report to the Vice President of Project Management Office with a dotted line to the Vice President of Data

We have an office in Gurgaon. We welcome you to work in our office but you have the option to work from home with good internet for video meetings with US based stakeholders.
 
Your Day-to-Day (aka Responsibilities)

  • Work to document LOE estimates, task assignments and dependencies and assemble them into coherent project plans
  • Work with Analytics, Data Management, and business stakeholders on development of project schedules
  • Work with development teams to track progress against the plan, help identify and document problems impeding progress and work with team leads to find solutions
  • Provide regular updates on progress to a wide variety of audiences
  • Be an advocate for good/better process through constant evaluation, with an eye towards improvement
  • Work with development team on maintaining and developing software development tool chain, working to ensure visibility, efficiency and transparency throughout the development process
  • Coordinate and participate in the project post-mortem process
  • Contribute to business valuation of data and analytics projects
  • Support the project planning, capacity management, and flow of work between data teams to ensure efficient project completion

You Have (aka Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or technology field preferred
  • Previous experience managing projects within a data analytics team
  • 5 years of experience - ideally in both technology development or data and project management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic SQL or LookML/Looker experience
  • Technical acumen to follow data development lifecycle and business acumen to support assessment of project impact
  • Ability to allocate and manage resources effectively to meet and prioritize project demands while considering the dynamic nature of data assets
  • A highly collaborative working style with an ability to remain friendly and professional while persistently working to gather the information necessary to accurately assess status and holding team members accountable for deliverables. A good sense of humor helps!
  • Strong organizational skills, with an attention to detail
  • Ability to produce easily-digestible visual guides tracking project progress
