General Scope and Summary
Sage Therapeutics is looking for a highly motivated, proactive go-getter who is passionate about enabling commercial operations in the healthcare space. We are seeking a skilled project manager to join our team who has experience in successfully delivering complex projects across multiple commercial functions. This role will collaborate across teams and leaders to ensure project scope and objectives are clear, interdependencies are defined, and projects are delivered on time. This person will contribute to our mission to pioneer solutions to deliver life-changing health medicines, so every person can thrive.
Roles and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Works as a connector between commercial functions and any alliance partners, to increase visibility to projects, the interdependencies, and the impact across functions.

Tracks performance and progress of projects against projected timelines and proactively assists teams in regular management of status updates.

Drive effectiveness and efficiency in communication, maximizing meeting forums and strategic attendance while operating in a team environment.

Analyze and find alternatives to ineffective or outdated standard processes and proactively involve relevant stakeholders in problem solving.

Drive efficiency in how we communicate, store, and deliver project updates including having a good understanding of SharePoint and other shared platforms.

Take an active role in designing and maintaining cross functional communication strategy, ensuring both field teams and home office teams are operating in synergy.

Synthesizes project milestones in clear and concise ways, including and developing presentations of different altitudes to inform multiple levels of leadership.

Works independently to manage multiple projects and individual functional stakeholders simultaneously, maintaining robust work standards and communicating proactively throughout project timeline.

Ensure compliance with all Sage processes & policies.

Travel (~15% depending on location and projects assigned).
Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Must thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required.

5+ years prior work experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, consulting, and/or project/program management in commercial space required.
Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in using technology platforms to track projects with high attention to detail.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, etc.).

Proven track record in leading multi-functional teams and stakeholder management, working with all levels of management and the ability to lead through influence in order to drive team projects forward.

Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence individuals across all levels in the organization.

Ability to problem solve by anticipating potential problems, conducting root cause analysis, evaluating robustness of corrective action plan, and overseeing plan implementation.

Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple priorities at once.

Strong attention to detail, resilient & adaptable to work in ambiguous environment.
