Key Responsibilities
- Develop project-specific navigation documentation based on established standard documentation packages
- Design system layouts and architecture diagrams for marine navigation systems and electrical installations
- Develop electrical drawings for cabinets, consoles, and automation systems using EPLAN
- Define cabinet layouts, hardware configurations, and electrical interfaces
- Prepare cable lists and support cable routing and connection definitions for automation systems
- Produce technical documentation and drawings for NACOS Marine products
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, shipyards, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution
- Participate in vessel surveys, system start-ups, commissioning activities, and on-site support when required
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share technical knowledge with colleagues
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Naval Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience in electrical or automation engineering within an industrial, marine, or naval environment
- Strong electrical and electrotechnical knowledge and understanding of industrial or naval systems
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Hands-on experience with EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar electrical design software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to engineering tasks
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
- Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team
- Fluent in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel to shipyards and vessels as required
- Eligibility for security clearance in accordance with Norwegian regulations (background check required)
