Senior Project Controls Analyst – Energy Efficiency Programs
Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days/week on-site at client location required)

Position Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Project Controls Analyst to support one of our client’s large-scale energy efficiency programs. This role focuses on financial tracking, forecasting, and reporting helping ensure transparency, accountability, and disciplined execution across a major utility initiative driving statewide energy savings.
You’ll collaborate closely with program management, finance, and engineering teams to deliver accurate, data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making and strong program performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and report on program budgets, forecasts, and performance dashboards.
Track actuals vs. forecast, analyze variances, and identify corrective actions.
Prepare monthly spend plans, accruals, and cost summaries for client reporting.
Support KPI tracking, performance metrics, and executive dashboards.
Coordinate with finance, PMO, and engineering teams to validate program expenditures.
Maintain controls documentation and ensures consistency across all program workstreams.
Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen cost control and forecasting discipline.
Support audit and regulatory readiness by maintaining clear documentation of cost and workflow processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, or financial analysis, ideally within utilities, energy efficiency, or infrastructure programs.
Strong analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or Smartsheet.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and cost reporting practices.
Proven ability to work independently and lead program reporting efforts.
Familiarity with SAP, or Oracle a plus.
Clear communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $105,000 – $135,000 annually. This range represents a good faith estimate at the time of posting; actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base salary, the role includes eligibility for bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and a company 401(k) match.
