Our work depends on a Sr. Program Manager joining our team to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology (OIT), Software Product management (SPM) Office, Benefits and Memorial Services (BAM) Portfolio.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
EXPERIENCE:
10+ years of portfolio/project management experience
7+ years of experience working in agile environments
4+ years of experience in requirements management
IT Governance experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
Experience in managing transitions for applications with complex integrations, such as APIs, data migrations, or third-party integrations.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and databases.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience in managing cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, infrastructure specialists, and other stakeholders.
Experience analyzing complex technical issues and developing effective solutions.
Experience communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in managing vendor relationships
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Experience with IT service management frameworks and methodologies, such as ITIL, Agile, and/or CMMI.
Experience with project management tools, such as JIRA, Asana, or MS Project.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or IT; four additional years of related experience may be substituted for a degree.
