Who We’re Looking For - Reporting to the VP, PMO, we are seeking a Senior Program Manager, Product Development (Formulations) to support and organize a growing pipeline of initiatives across internal teams including Packaging, Formulations Product Development, Operations, Marketing, and Creative. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing packaging development programs and supporting product development from concept to delivery. This role requires a passion for cross-functional collaboration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for formulation and packaging initiatives, from initial scoping through execution, launch, and post-launch review. 
  • Partner closely with Devices Product Development PMs to create and manage comprehensive timelines for product and packaging development tied to omni-channel launches.
  • Oversee packaging development efforts to ensure alignment with brand standards, consumer usability, regulatory compliance, quality, cost targets, and readiness for commercialization.
  • Manage change request queue and process optimization across all packaging types including kits, hard goods and formulations.
  • Manage key strategic packaging initiatives related to formulation packaging, sustainability, cost and/or quality.
  • Provide critical retail support for Retail Kits, Retail KIs (Sell Sheets and Spec Sheets), and Retail Line Reviews.
  • Coordinate with 3PLs and operations teams to ensure proper SKU entry into systems, tracking of AD and STTs, and availability of CX and influencer launch samples.
  • Monitor and facilitate product launches involving backorder statuses, ensuring communication and alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration among Product Development, Packaging, Creative, Regulatory, Operations, and Marketing to keep teams aligned on key milestones and dependencies.
  • Facilitate project ceremonies such as kickoffs, status reviews, and retrospectives—surfacing risks, blockers, and dependencies while ensuring ownership and accountability.
  • Support development and qualification of packaging components including sourcing, compatibility testing, compliance, and production scalability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and tracking tools to monitor packaging and formulation development status; manage routing of approvals, timeline updates, and deliverable tracking.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to optimize workflows, improve team collaboration, and drive process efficiencies across internal and external partners.
  • Ensure timely delivery of product assets by proactively managing project timelines, communicating changes, and resolving issues quickly.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience, with at least 2+ years in full life cycle formulation product development (primary and secondary packaging)
  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, especially for CPG or personal care products
  • Experience managing timelines and deliverables for formulations development including packaging compatibility, formula readiness, and regulatory requirements
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences and foster collaboration across departments
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple initiatives and changing priorities 
  • In-depth knowledge of packaging materials and development processes
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and solution-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and ownership, but also a strong team collaborator
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Asana or similar; ability to quickly adapt to new platforms
  • International experience and a global mindset are a plus!
