The Boeing Defense Space & Security is seeking a Senior Program Management Specialist, Cost Account Management (CAM) Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead (Level 5 or Level 6) to join the Boeing Common Products Group in El Segundo, CA, in support of future Space Computer product development. 

The Common Products portfolio consists of Satellite Payload & Platform Subsystems (Electronics, Structures, Propulsion, Antenna, Feeds, Reflector, Passive Microwave Devices, Mechanisms, Solar Array, Battery, Wire Harness and Thermal Blankets). The CAM IPT Lead will manage strategy and development for the Boeing Space Computer, coordinate and communicate with all required engineering functions, stakeholders, and program partners from early development strategy and planning through project execution hardware deliveries.  

Position responsibilities: 

  • Oversees execution of Space Computer Technology Roadmaps 
  • Implements long-term product strategy for Space Computer products 
  • Aligns product development with requirements for affordability, producibility, and product readiness dates 
  • Leads teams in performing capability analyses, competitive assessments, and technology horizon evaluations to inform strategic product line decisions 
  • Collaborates with business development and engineering teams executing IRAD product line investments 
  • Delivers analytical, architectural, and business-case support to internal leadership 
  • Manages cost & schedule while managing the design team's execution on a payload and/or platform subsystem. 
  • Develops program organizational, work structures, top level program and execution plans. Facilitates the resolution of issues. Supports the program manager in leading program execution by coordinating program metrics. Integrates the implementation of the Program Management Best Practices.  
  • Demonstrates high proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (Earned Value Management).  Ability to define the project, design and plan the project, and manage the project team. Ability to control and deliver project deliverables, project accounting and appraisal, and optimize the contribution of the people involved.
  • Develops and uses collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals. Builds rapport and trust among stakeholders and leverages the organization's dynamics to promote program goals by focusing on a shared vision.  
  • Provides detailed in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans. 
  • Develops solutions to highly complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation.  

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Program Management, including scheduling and Cost Account Manager (CAM) Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • 3+ years of experience in Program Management including cost, schedule and technical management
  • Experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrable critical business and financial acumen in order to influence and shape strategy
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Experience acting as a Product Manager/Product Owner with a focus on product strategy and development execution
  • 1+ year of experience using Open Plan Professional (OPP)
  • 3+ years of experience have managing EVM metrics
  • Experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel: Some travel may be required up to 10%.

Summary pay range:

Level 5: $161,500 - $218,500

Level 6: $192,950 - $261,050
