We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to help make Socure’s products clear, trustworthy, and fast. Depending on business priorities, you may work on RiskOS workflows, agentic experiences, self-serve onboarding, Document Verification, customer and developer experiences, or new product opportunities. You will work on problems that span complex enterprise workflows, AI-assisted decisioning, customer onboarding, and the systems that help customers move from evaluation to successful operation.

This is a hands-on product design role for someone who can move confidently from research and problem framing through exploration, prototyping, testing, detailed execution, and launch. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, solution consultants, customer-facing teams, and design leadership to reduce the time and effort required to understand, adopt, integrate, and operate Socure products.

The right candidate does not need to be an expert in identity or fraud on day one. They need strong product judgment, systems thinking, curiosity about technical systems, and the ability to turn complex, ambiguous problems into simple, clear solutions without oversimplifying the decisions that matter.

• Work with researchers, product managers, engineers, solution consultants, and customers to understand builder goals, technical constraints, operational needs, and barriers to adoption.

• Partner with the researcher to conduct customer interviews, usability studies, workflow reviews, competitive research, and product-data analysis.

• Synthesize research and product signals into clear themes, opportunity areas, user needs, and design implications.

• Build enough domain fluency in identity verification, fraud prevention, KYC, watchlist screening, compliance, and risk decisioning to make responsible design decisions.

• Turn ambiguous business and customer needs into clearly framed problems, measurable outcomes, and practical design hypotheses.

• Map end-to-end customer and user journeys across product discovery, onboarding, configuration, integration, decisioning, case management, operations, and ongoing use.

• Identify where customers lose time, confidence, or momentum—and help the team prioritize the problems with the greatest effect on activation, time-to-value, implementation effort, and trust.

• Partner with product and engineering early enough to shape the problem and solution, not just polish a predetermined feature.

• Generate and compare multiple approaches before converging on a direction.

• Design flows for use-case discovery, account setup, workflow configuration, agent interaction, API keys, test identities, sandbox testing, usage visibility, case management, production readiness, and ongoing operations.

• Prototype at the right fidelity—from quick flows and low-fidelity concepts to realistic Figma, coded, or AI-assisted prototypes connected to representative states and data.

• Test concepts with customers and internal users, document what was learned, and iterate quickly based on evidence.

• Design for the full range of states that make technical products usable: loading, empty, success, partial completion, validation, permissions, errors, unavailable services, uncertain results, and recovery.

• Produce clear, detailed designs and specifications that engineers can build accurately and efficiently.

• Connect product interfaces, APIs, documentation, dashboards, hosted UI, agentic interactions, developer tools, and operational workflows into coherent experiences.

• Make complex RiskOS capabilities—identity graph, Sigma fraud models, Predictive DocV, watchlist screening, KYC, fraud, and compliance workflows—understandable to builders without hiding meaningful tradeoffs.

• Design experiences that help customers move from understanding a problem to evaluating, configuring, integrating, and successfully operating a Socure solution.

• Partner through implementation, review working software, perform design QA, and refine the experience based on real behavior and feedback.

• Present work clearly, explain tradeoffs, respond constructively to critique, and make decisions visible to cross-functional partners.

• Use tools such as Figma AI, Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor to accelerate research synthesis, content exploration, flow generation, prototyping, design critique, documentation, and design QA.

• Use AI as a collaborator for breadth and speed while applying independent judgment to evaluate outputs, protect user trust, and make the final design decisions.

• Create realistic prototypes and testable product concepts with AI-assisted or coded workflows when static screens cannot answer the product question.

• Document important context, design rationale, behavioral rules, and edge cases so that both people and AI-assisted development tools can use the work accurately.

• Help the team develop responsible patterns for AI-assisted design, including privacy, security, transparency, human oversight, and safe handling of customer information.

• Contribute reusable patterns to the Socure design system across navigation, forms, workflow configuration, status, permissions, API keys, environments, testing, billing, and usage.

• Identify when a new component, pattern, or content convention should become part of the shared system rather than a one-off solution.

• Work with designers and engineers to improve consistency between Figma, coded components, documentation, and shipped product behavior.

• Share methods, findings, and practical feedback through design critiques, working sessions, and cross-functional reviews.

• 5+ years of product design experience designing and shipping digital products, with ownership of meaningful product areas from discovery through delivery.

• A portfolio showing strong end-to-end product thinking: the problem, the evidence, the options considered, the final experience, the implementation, and the outcome.

• Experience designing self-serve, product-led, developer-facing, SaaS, fintech, workflow, platform, or other technically complex products.

• Strong research and synthesis skills. You can choose an appropriate method, ask useful questions, distinguish evidence from assumptions, and turn findings into decisions.

• Strong problem-framing skills. You can define the user, context, unmet need, business objective, constraints, and success measures before jumping into screens.

• Strong interaction and visual design craft, including information architecture, workflows, forms, states, content hierarchy, accessibility, and responsive behavior.

• Experience exploring multiple directions and validating concepts through prototypes, usability testing, customer feedback, or product data.

• Ability to design for complex systems and non-happy paths, including permissions, configuration, dependencies, errors, asynchronous work, and transitions between environments.

• Product judgment: you understand how design can improve activation, conversion, time-to-value, implementation effort, retention, operational efficiency, and customer trust.

• Technical fluency sufficient to collaborate with engineers on APIs, data, system behavior, integrations, front-end constraints, and implementation tradeoffs. You do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be comfortable learning how the product works.

• Experience working with a design system and contributing patterns that are reusable, accessible, documented, and feasible to implement.

• Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Figma AI, Cursor, or comparable tools to improve speed, exploration, research, prototyping, or documentation.

• The judgment to know when AI output is useful, when it is misleading, and what still requires human research, reasoning, taste, and accountability.

• Clear written and verbal communication. You can explain complex ideas to executives, product managers, engineers, researchers, and customers.

• Comfort working in an environment where priorities evolve, information is incomplete, and progress depends on proactive collaboration.

We use Figma as our primary design tool and actively incorporate AI-assisted workflows into how we research, explore, prototype, document, and review product experiences. We are interested in candidates who are curious and practical about these tools—not candidates who use AI as a substitute for design thinking.

• Experience with developer tools, APIs, SDKs, webhooks, hosted UI components, or technical documentation.

• Experience designing sandbox, test-mode, simulation, staging, environment-management, or operational workflows.

• Experience with pricing, billing, usage metering, credits, entitlements, or plan comparisons.

• Experience in fintech, identity, fraud, compliance, crypto, marketplaces, infrastructure, or other trust-sensitive domains.

• Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or front-end implementation.

• Experience designing AI-assisted workflows, agentic products, conversational interfaces, or systems with probabilistic outputs.

• Experience working with accessibility standards, content design, or responsible AI and trust patterns.

You’ll join a collaborative product design team working closely with product, engineering, research, growth, solution consulting, customer success, and other customer-facing teams. The team values strong craft, direct communication, thoughtful research, rapid learning, and close partnership through implementation.

This role has meaningful ownership from day one. You will be expected to lead the design work for defined product areas, influence decisions through evidence and clear reasoning, and raise the quality of the work around you through collaboration and critique. You will have support from design leadership and senior partners while remaining accountable for moving your work forward.
