Senior Product Manager

ABOUT CAPCADE
Capcade is building the collaboration infrastructure for private markets. Fund managers, investors, and the service providers around them run their most important work across scattered tools and email threads. That work covers fundraising, due diligence, investor onboarding, post-close reporting, and structured-product programmes. We replace all of it with one secure, structured environment where people, documents, data, and tasks live in the same place.
The work our users do is high-stakes, data-heavy, and heavily regulated. They are executives at fund administrators, heads of investor relations, dealer desks at global banks, and procurement leaders at large institutions. When the product works well, billions move with more visibility and less risk.
We already have many of the best names in global finance on the platform, including hundreds of the Fortune 500. We are a team of around 50 people across seven jurisdictions. We are small enough that your work shows up the week you ship it, and the problems are real enough to keep the work hard and interesting.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS NOW
Capcade has a strong product and strong engineering. This is a senior, function-shaping role. You will own one of our product lines from end to end, agreed with the Head of Product based on your strengths and where the business needs you most. Alongside that, you will help shape how the team works, bringing a more AI-native, evidence-driven way of operating. You will have a real say over the roadmap and over how the product gets built. Much of what you take on will not be a blank page. You will inherit live product areas that already have customers and competing internal opinions. Your job is to form a sharp point of view quickly, decide what to double down on and what to retire, and turn current usage into real adoption.
This is not a role where you direct from a distance. You will do your own discovery, sit with customers, prototype workflows yourself, and stay close to the detail.
We are looking for someone with the judgement of a senior product leader who is still happy to roll up their sleeves, do the work, and put in the hours when it counts.
If you want a tidy scope where someone else does the customer work, this is not the right role.
If you want to help how a modern product team operates and have the autonomy to go and do it, keep reading.
This is a senior, function-shaping role with real autonomy.
You get genuine ownership of a product line. The autonomy is real, and it comes with one clear constraint: everything you build strengthens one coherent Capcade.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own outcomes, not artifacts. Define the right problems with our customers, design solutions with design and engineering, and ship things that move real numbers such as activation, usability, and retention. Decide what success looks like before you build, and hold yourself to it afterwards.
- Stay close to customers. Build deep, ongoing relationships with fund managers, LPs, and operations teams. Understand their workflows better than they do.
- Run research to look and define real user problems. Talk to real users, run quick tests, and adjust. Treat research as a tool to define a single point of truth.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of how customers use the product, what creates measurable value, and where the product falls short, so the company can continuously improve its product strategy and execution.
HOW WE WILL MEASURE SUCCESS
This is what good looks like in your first six months:
- A clear, evidence-based direction for your product line: who the users are, what the data and workflows look like, the metrics that matter, and a defensible call on what comes first and what waits.
- At least one workflow measurably more adopted than it is today, with hard numbers behind it: time saved, exceptions caught, accuracy improved, or manual coordination removed.
- Sales, customer success, engineering, and design all understand what your product line is and where it is going, because you set that direction.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- The judgement and experience of a senior product leader, combined with the instinct to stay hands-on, doing your own discovery and shaping the product logic yourself
- 6+ years in product, with a clear record of shipping things that users actually adopted, not just things that launched.
- Evidence that you have built or materially upgraded how a product team works, rather than only operating inside one that was already mature.
- Experience inheriting a live, messy product area and making it better. You can walk in, decide what matters, and improve things without breaking what already works.
- The ability to sit with a customer, reverse-engineer their workflow, and turn it into data models, states, and permissions yourself.
- Active, daily use of LLMs in your real workflow.
- Practical technical fluency. You can argue data models, APIs, and delivery trade-offs with engineers, and judge where AI genuinely earns its place versus where it just adds risk in a high-trust workflow.
- Real experience in or alongside B2B SaaS. You understand enterprise buying, compliance constraints, and why trust and auditability are part of the product, not just features.
- Strong UX judgement on dashboards, tables, and complex workflows, and clear written communication, whether that is a deep technical trade-off or a one-pager for a non-technical stakeholder.
CONSIDERED AS A PLUS
- Experience in fund management, fintech, or another compliance-heavy area such as legal tech or consulting, and a feel for how deals actually flow.
- Direct experience with private-market workflows, for example GP and LP relationships, lender or capital activity, or fund-level reporting.
- Having built with LLMs as core product infrastructure, something that genuinely changed how users work rather than a thin wrapper.
- Early-stage experience, where a wide scope felt exciting rather than stressful.
- Familiarity with data rooms or document-intelligence products, even as a power user.
HOW WE WORK
The product here is builder-led and evidence-driven. We use AI to accelerate the work, not to replace critical thinking. You own the problem, the product logic, and the success criteria, while engineering and design own how it gets implemented. We care about outcomes more than artifacts, and we hire for where someone is heading and what they have built.
WHAT WE OFFER
- A base salary benchmarked to your location and set in line with the market for this level of seniority.
- An annual equity grant that vests over four years. This is real ownership in a company still small enough for your work to move its value.
- Direct backing from the COO, CEO, and Head of Product, who you will partner with closely.
- 25 days of paid holiday, hybrid working, latest modern tools
- Honest, regular feedback, and colleagues who are good at their jobs
The product is growing quickly, the AI landscape moves even faster, and our users expect a lot. You will need to enjoy working in that kind of environment, not just put up with it.
This is a hybrid role for people already based in Amsterdam, London, or Cape Town. We are not offering relocation or visa sponsorship, so you will need the existing right to work in one of those locations.
HOW TO APPLY
Send us your CV along with a short note on what excites you about this role and about Capcade. We are especially interested in product lines you have owned from discovery through to adoption, times you walked into a live, messy product area and made it better, and how you use AI in your day-to-day work.
Our process is deliberately focused: an HR intro conversation, a couple of deeper sessions with the people you would work with, based on real Capcade product problems.
Our HR team will do their best to give you a useful experience and constructive feedback, whatever the outcome.
Capcade processes applicant data for recruitment purposes in accordance with applicable data protection law. Capcade is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity, value our differences, and are committed to creating an inclusive environment.
