The Senior Product Manager will lead product feature delivery, prioritize customer-driven work, collaborate across teams, and ensure product scalability and integrity in the Life Sciences sector.
Summary Generated by Built In

This role sits at the heart of Little Journey’s next stage of growth in Life Sciences. As we expand our partnerships with global pharmaceutical and research organisations, we are entering a pivotal phase: delivering high impact features to support active customer commitments while building a scalable and repeatable Life Sciences product.

The Role

You will own the translation of market insights into structured, scalable and high quality product delivery. Working at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Delivery and Commercial, you will ensure we meet customer needs and timelines without compromising long term product integrity. This is a high impact and hands on execution focused product role in a fast growing and mission driven company improving healthcare and clinical trial experiences for children and families worldwide.

This is not a traditional feature or roadmap-led product role. The focus is on driving scalability through configurability, translating customer requirements into repeatable product solutions that reduce reliance on bespoke delivery.

The role reports to the Product Lead and is part of the broader product development team. This is full-time role, either hybrid (Leeds) or fully remote in the UK. We cannot sponsor visas to work in the UK.

  • Distinguish between configurable solutions and true feature development

Delivery Planning and Execution

  • Own the customer commitments backlog and align delivery sequencing with Engineering Managers
  • Break down features into clear product requirements and define measurable success metrics
  • Support timely delivery aligned to commercial timelines

Product Integrity

  • Protect technical quality and prevent bespoke architectural decisions
  • Identify patterns across customer requests and feed repeatable needs into the core platform roadmap
  • Partner with Engineering to make informed trade-offs that balance short-term delivery needs with long-term scalability

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Collaborate with Discovery and Evidence teams to validate impact and support progression toward product market fit
  • Translate customer requirements and delivery insights into cross-functional priorities that enable effective scaling of the platform
  • Ensure effective post-delivery follow up by leveraging product data and insights to inform future iterations and strengthen alignment across Delivery, Commercial and our customer stakeholders.
  • Make trade-offs and constraints visible, enabling informed decision-making across stakeholders
  • Act as the bridge between Commercial, Delivery, User Research, Design and, Engineering teams

Requirements

Non negotiable

  • Track record of working to delivery timelines in small teams
  • Demonstratable experience as a Product Manager owning significant feature delivery within a B2B SaaS product
  • Experience working closely with Commercial or Sales teams in a high growth environment
  • Strong experience translating ambiguous requirements into structured product documentation
  • Proven ability to balance short term delivery pressure with long term product integrity
  • Experience working closely with Engineering teams and understanding technical trade offs
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior-level decision-makers, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations and resolve conflicting priorities
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast moving environments

Desirable

  • Experience in health tech, life sciences, clinical research or regulated environments
  • Experience in high growth start ups
  • Experience using Figma, Atlassian and other product management tools
  • Experience building products serving enterprise customers
  • Experience working toward product market fit

About Little Journey

Little Journey was founded by Dr Chris Evans, a paediatric anaesthetist and researcher who witnessed first-hand the impact that procedural anxiety, poor preparation, and inconsistent communication can have on patient experience, engagement, and clinical outcomes. Partnering with Sophie Copley, an expert in human-centred product design, the healthcare platform was developed and demonstrated significant benefits in improving care efficiency, compliance and patient experience. It was rapidly adopted across the NHS supporting children undergoing surgery, before being expanded to support a wide variety of common procedures.

Building on this initial success, Little Journey expanded into clinical trials, applying the same principles of personalised education, emotional support, and engagement to research settings. Our Life Science platform supports trial participants and their families across therapeutic areas, to alleviate the burdens they face as they navigate participating in a clinical trial. The platform is now a global solution, and we work with major pharmaceutical companies.

Little Journey is a Series A HealthTech start-up, and we are a highly collaborative, mission-driven organisation with a team of about 30 (including Product & Tech, Sales & Marketing, Operations & Delivery). We aim to change the future of personalised paediatric care, one empowered family at a time. We value honesty and integrity, trust and accountability, reflection and learning, proactive thinking, and a deep commitment to helping others.

Diversity & Inclusion

We encourage people from all walks of life to apply and strive to eliminate unconscious bias in our recruitment process. We do not discriminate on ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or parental status or disability. We encourage candidates from underrepresented groups to apply. What We Do

Little Journey is a digital eSupport platform designed to psychologically prepare, support and inform children and families before, during and after healthcare interactions - both those occurring as part of a clinical trial and within routine care. Our mission is to support all children to better health. We believe that, through the provision of engaging, interactive and age-appropriate content, we can improve healthcare experiences and health outcomes for all. The Little Journey smartphone app enables families to access information and support tailored to their child’s age, procedure type and hospital at a time and location convenient to them. Virtual tours using 360-degree images of the actual rooms families will visit explain what will happen and who children will meet during their hospital journey. Relaxation animations and therapeutic/distraction games further help to reduce anxiety and improve experiences. A parent information section includes articles, checklists and hospital guides – all of which can be configured by healthcare organisations via a web portal. We ensure a truly patient-focused user experience by co-creating content, using a continuous feedback loop with children, families and key stakeholders. Little Journey fundamentally believes in the power of familiarisation and desensitization through immersive play to facilitate individual coping strategy development, reducing peri-procedural anxiety and improving healthcare experiences for all.
