Job Description
The Washington Post is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join the Subscriptions product team and lead the development and growth of WP Intelligence, a B2B product aimed at helping businesses leverage policy, regulatory and data-driven insights for decision-making. As the Senior Product Manager, this person will contribute to WP Intelligence’s product strategy, maintain the product roadmap, and drive execution, ensuring that WP Intelligence meets the needs of our customers and stays ahead of industry trends. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, content and marketing, to deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experiences, foster business growth, and maximize product value. This role reports to the Product Management Lead, Subscriptions.

Responsibilities

Define and communicate a compelling vision for WP Intelligence, ensuring alignment with company goals and market opportunities.

Develop and maintain a long-term roadmap that meets the evolving needs of our B2B customers.

Oversee the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond. Ensure smooth transitions between product phases, and manage product iterations based on feedback and evolving market needs.

Conduct market analysis to identify customer pain points, emerging trends, and competitive landscape. Regularly engage with customers to gather feedback and validate product ideas.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, prioritize the backlog, and plan development that results in meaningful improvements for your users.

Set product KPIs and partner with engineering marketing, finance, and analytics to ensure product performance is properly monitored and that dashboards and alerts are accurate and actionable.

Use analytics and research to generate actionable insights and to identify opportunities and evolve your product area to meet user needs.

Lead through influence by building trust and alignment with clear, proactive communication about your plans, progress, successes, and setbacks.
Qualifications

5+ years of product management experience, preferably in digital subscriptions.

A proven track record of critical thinking and problem solving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.

A collaborative spirit and ability to build strong partnerships across disciplines that result in better product outcomes.

Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills.

Comfortable using quantitative and qualitative data to identify user needs and inform solutions.

Experience shaping product methodology, technical solutioning, and the software development process.

Experience using industry standard software such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Jira, and Confluence.

Benefits may vary based on the job, full-time or part-time schedule, location, and collectively bargained status.
The salary range for this position is:
119,700.00 - 199,300.00 USD Annual
The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
