What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to support family product squad with a track record of success in fast-paced organizations and a bias for action. The goal of the family squad is to make it as easy as possible for families to find quality caregivers in our marketplace. The family squad focuses on driving family user goals, business outcomes, and maintaining a stable, vibrant and healthy marketplace.

 

Your primary responsibility is driving the product planning, design and execution of family products to create a modern & delightful user experience that helps set a strategy for future growth. In this role, you’ll identify new and unique opportunities to improve Sittercity’s care solutions that meet the needs of both caregivers and families. You’ll build and execute a cohesive strategy in partnership with the caregiver-focused product team, leadership and dedicated engineering partners. You’ll also collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure your work is aligned with the rest of the company’s strategy and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver and launch new solutions that drive business goals, create delightful experiences and improve caregiver user experience. 
  • Create close alignment with marketing, engineering, design and product to drive clear understanding of product features and value statements. 
  • Translate our product strategy into an achievable roadmap based on objectives and customer needs.
  • Clearly communicate strategy and goals across the company throughout all phases of work, from ideation to measurement.
  • Lead product initiatives through definitional / discovery stages. Effectively break down problems and rigorously prioritize and set scope. Research, write and analyze requirements.
  • Leverage design thinking to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the caregiver audience, needs, and user experience. 
  • Regularly monitor and report on the progress of development efforts, ensuring transparency and accountability within the team.
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform product & business success. 

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in product management, working closely with engineering, design and cross-functional teams. 
  • Extensive experience in direct-to-consumer or multi-sided-marketplace digital product ecosystems, with a focus on both mobile and responsive web experiences.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Strong technical foundation, with a solid business acumen and appreciation for design
  • Ability to distill and translate complex technical topics into easily communicable business updates
  • Innovative problem solver who can quickly grasp concepts and drive ambiguous problem into clear solutions
  • Demonstrated skill at product planning, including product definition, prioritization, and gaining insights from product metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations
  • Experience with these tools is a plus: Notion, Shortcut, Looker, Figma, HotJar, Lucidchart
