Nylon builds AI research tools that are changing how lawyers and accountants work. 2,000+ firms across New Zealand, Australia and the UK trust our platform, from the biggest firms in the world to small specialist practices. Backed by Australasia's top VCs, we're expanding into new markets while relentlessly deepening our position in the UK and Australia.
We're at the stage where a small number of people decide whether we win globally. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own one of the areas that determines it.
THE ROLE
You'll take an area of the product and be accountable for where it goes, not just what ships next. That means setting the direction, defending it with evidence, and being the person the company relies on to know that space better than anyone.
You'll work directly with the founders and our Product Lead, and you'll raise the bar for how product is done here: how we scope, how we decide, how we measure. We have a strong in-person culture, so you'll be based full-time in our Auckland CBD office.
WHAT YOU COULD OWN
The answer experience. How a professional asks a hard question and trusts what comes back. Retrieval, citations, verification, speed. The heart of the product
Integrations and workflow. Outlook, practice-management and document systems, and Meeting AI, already live in real client meetings. The wedge into a firm's daily work
Scale and self-serve. Making Nylon work as well for a 500-seat firm as for a sole practitioner: onboarding, identity, billing, the public API
New markets. Supporting expansion into the USA while we deepen the UK and Australia
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Setting the strategy for your area and getting the company behind it
Turning customer feedback, usage data and business priorities into a sequenced plan people can execute against
Running discovery with users properly, and learning how lawyers and accountants actually work in depth
Making the hard trade-off calls, writing them down, and holding the line when they're tested
Owning outcomes: the metrics your area moves, and what you do when they don't move
Raising the standard of product craft across the team, and mentoring as we grow
Solving novel problems. We work at the frontier of AI systems, so much of what you hit has no known answer
ABOUT YOU
5+ years in product management, with at least two in a senior or lead role at a fast-growing B2B SaaS company. This is not a role for learning on the job
You can point at an area you owned, the strategy you set for it, and what it did to the business
World-class problem-solving and analytical skills
Exceptional written communication. Clear writing is how decisions get made here
You operate like an owner and fix problems before anyone asks
You're comfortable disagreeing with founders, with reasons
You use AI tooling daily and have a real view on where it helps and where it doesn't
You want the leverage, agency and stakes that come with a seat this close to the decisions
Experience with professional services, regulated industries or technically complex products is an advantage
WHAT YOU'LL GET
Competitive salary, based on experience and capability
A defined area of a category-defining product, and the authority to set its direction
Direct work with the founders on decisions that determine the company's trajectory
A small, high-performance team where your judgement matters
