Senior Product Manager, Retrievals Operations

The Role:

We’re looking for an experienced product manager with a strong preference toward building and transforming enterprise software and internal tools. You’re excited about the idea of transformation; you love the toughest challenges, dig into any problem with curiosity and an open mindset, and like operating at all levels of an organization, both horizontally and vertically. Improving your craft of product discovery and delivery with low ego are table stakes.

As the first Senior Product Manager for Datavant’s Retrieval Operations, your goal will be to ensure that our internal users and external users’ needs are well-served by our core products for our payer clients by empowering our retrieval operations team. At its heart, this work is about ensuring the secure and compliant exchange of health information across thousands of provider groups (health systems, clinics, MSOs, etc), and doing so in an efficient, accurate and seamless way for our payer clients. This pod is central to orchestrating the interplay of digital and manual workflows at the core of healthcare information exchange.

We’re looking for a technically-minded product manager who can work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, and operations partners to gather insights on user needs and ship innovative functionality that achieves operational and financial efficiency goals. You will also think through longer-term product strategy and how components of our extensive product can be leveraged for other uses as well as scale with our growth. An interest in or understanding of data flows, operational workflows, process transformation, data regulations, and data technology in healthcare is necessary.

Your first 30 days will include:

• Learning all about the core business of information exchange / release of information in healthcare
• Defining the charter of this pod with product, engineering, and operations stakeholders
• Collaborating with product, engineering, and operations stakeholders to define this pod’s 2025 (and beyond) roadmap
• Shipping several key improvements that’ll positively impact tens of millions of patients’ lives
• Solidifying ways of working with your engineering and operations partners

What you bring to the table:

• 5-7 years of product management experience in tech-forward companies
• An ability to drive direction, even when you are not the functional expert yet
• ​​Able to structure problems, develop clear problem statements and hypothesis, and prioritize work using business understanding and data
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; consistently keep teams updated on product strategy and progress
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Design and Operations stakeholders to build enterprise-wide platform products and internal tools
• Experience in the healthcare provider / payer / services industry
• Experience coming up to speed in a regulated industry, inexplicable desire to read and grapple with regulations

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is $180,000-$210,000.
