About us
Traditional banking has never really given you control over your financial life. Satispay exists to change that: to empower people through finance. That means making financial services easy and accessible for over 6.5M users.
We started with payments, then benefits, investing, cards... and we’re not done. Not even close. We follow the same logic every time: find a real problem, solve it properly, then look for the next one. The destination? To build the most loved financial platform in the world. If you own outcomes rather than tasks, stay close to what users need, and refuse to wait for someone else to fix what's broken — you'll find people here who work exactly in the same way. And together, you'll build something worth being proud of.
What you'll be doing
As our Senior Product Manager - Payments, you'll take full ownership of Consumer Payments within the Features & Payment domain — spanning debit cards, SEPA Credit Transfers, QR payments, and more — building and scaling the products millions of people use every day. Here's what that looks like in practice:
Discover the Right Problems – Combine direct user evidence with product data, market signals and regulatory insight to frame and validate problems before and during delivery, not only at kick-off.
0→1 Product Leadership – Drive strategy and execution for new payment products and features, from first concept to launch.
Scaling What Works – Take live products beyond launch: grow adoption and activation, expand coverage and use cases, and harden reliability as volumes increase. Treat adoption, reliability, support demand and realised value as product outcomes, not launch metrics.
Consumer-Facing Experience – Own the UX and customer-facing side of payments, ensuring complex financial mechanics are intuitive, transparent and seamlessly integrated into Satispay.
Product Definition & Documentation – Write clear Product Requirements for Engineering and stakeholders, carrying the user's perspective into every decision.
Cross-functional Alignment – Act as a strategic orchestrator across Customer Care, Finance, Compliance, Marketing, Legal and FinCrime/Fraud to align priorities around a shared product vision — designing experiences that meet regulatory requirements such as PSD2, SCA and AML rather than working around them.
External Partnerships – Work alongside our scheme and delivery managers on relationships with card schemes, issuing processors and payment providers: shape the roadmap you depend on, hold partners to their commitments, and turn their capabilities into user value.
Data-Driven Optimisation – Analyse product usage and performance metrics to optimise payment features and uncover new market opportunities.
Process Evangelism & Mentorship – Advocate for thorough documentation and efficient workflows to help the team anticipate obstacles and ensure smooth product delivery.
Who we're looking for
This role needs someone who can hold both sides of payments: the consumer experience and the rails underneath it.
Product Experience – 5+ years as a Product Manager, including at least 3 years in payments, banking or fintech.
Launch & Scale Track Record – Proven experience shipping products from scratch and growing live products through their scaling phase.
Payments Fluency – Deep experience with at least one payment rail — card issuing, SEPA transfers or account-to-account — and enough familiarity with the mechanics behind them (authorisation and settlement, scheme flows, chargebacks and disputes) to hold a conversation with Engineering and providers alike.
Financial & Analytical Skills – Strong grasp of payment economics — interchange and scheme fees, provider costs, fraud losses — and the ability to build a business case and read performance data without waiting for BI.
Regulated-Environment Comfort – Ability to design great experiences within regulatory constraints (PSD2, SCA, AML) and to treat Compliance, Legal and Fraud as partners rather than gatekeepers.
Stakeholder Management – Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams (Engineering, UX, BI, Finance, Compliance).
Language Skills – Professional fluency in English. Italian isn't required — we work in English.
Don't worry if you don't tick every box. We believe in the power of different viewpoints and strengths. Your unique perspective is important as we build something special: if you're passionate and can make a difference, we truly encourage you to apply.
