The CommSec Product & Investing Solutions (P&IS) Crew’s mission is to Bring the best investing solutions to all Australians for every stage of their lives. This includes oversight of the CommSec product portfolio (Equities, Margin Lending, Cash and Derivatives) and accountability for Product, Risk, Regulatory, Technology and P&L outcomes. We manage, develop and implement product features, services and systems across the customer lifecycle to help deliver our purpose.
This role sits within the Complex Products value stream, supporting the Lending squad within P&IS consisting of product and risk professionals. The Lending squad is responsible for CommSec’s Lending products.
Do work that matters
As a Senior Product Manager, you will report into the Product Lead, Lending and will support the Complex Products Stream Lead in forming the product strategy, roadmap and overall product management. You will play a pivotal role in driving shareholder, customer, and risk outcomes. You will have a range of responsibilities including pricing & portfolio optimisation, risk & controls, complaint management, issue and incident management and other day-to-day product management tasks.
Your key responsibilities / focus areas will include
Manage end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for the Lending portfolio, including identification of future growth opportunities
Manage product risk covering operational risk, compliance risk, financial risk, financial crime and conduct risk.
Lead end-to-end governance and product change processes, including stakeholder engagement, preparation and present presentation of papers, governance workshops and approval through Governance Forums
Drive pricing strategy, discretionary pricing frameworks and acquisition/retention pricing campaigns.
Work closely with Customer Engagement teams to drive customer acquisition, retention and engagement through targeted marketing and pricing initiatives.
Partner with Technology and Operations teams to enhance platform capability, operational resilience and customer experience.
Monitoring of product P&L, product performance and competitor landscape
Ensuring continued product compliance with regulatory obligations and relevant Group Policies and Standards
Acting as the Product SME on key initiatives
Coaching of the Product Managers in the squad to drive consistent, high quality outcomes
Building and fostering of strong relationships across the product value chain, to ensure efficient delivery of product roadmap and resolution of issues
We’re interested in hearing from people who have
Domain knowledge in investing and stockbroking, investment lending, margin lending or similar products is highly desirable
Strong product management experience with demonstrated expertise in managing a product, P&L and driving product growth
Demonstrated experience in strategic thinking and success in leading and executing on product strategy and initiatives
Strong communication, influencing, stakeholder engagement and management capabilities
Proven track record leading large-scale product, pricing, risk, remediation, regulatory and technology initiatives, including customer campaigns, platform modernisation, control uplifts, product reviews, and governance transformations.
Strong problem-solving capabilities, with experience navigating and resolving situations that may be complex or ambiguous
A passion for customer centric product design
Experience working in an agile environment and enjoy collaborating with others
