About the role


We're looking for a talented Product Manager to join our growing product team at RudderStack. You'll own critical features and capabilities within our customer data platform, working closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver exceptional products that solve real customer problems. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our product direction while working with cutting-edge data infrastructure technology.


What you'll do

Product Strategy & Execution

  • Own end-to-end product lifecycle for assigned product areas, from ideation through launch and iteration
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps based on customer needs, market trends, and business objectives
  • Write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Prioritize features and bug fixes based on customer impact and business value
  • Define and track key product metrics and success criteria

Customer & Market Focus

  • Conduct regular customer interviews and user research to deeply understand pain points and use cases
  • Analyze competitive landscape and market trends to identify opportunities
  • Partner with customer success and support teams to understand product feedback and usage patterns
  • Work with sales and solutions engineering to understand customer requirements and support deal cycles

Cross-functional Leadership

  • Collaborate daily with engineering teams to ensure successful product delivery
  • Partner with design to create intuitive and delightful user experiences
  • Work with product marketing on positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies
  • Coordinate with documentation and education teams on product launches
  • Present product updates in company all-hands and team meetings
Requirements
  • Proven product management experience in B2B SaaS
  • Technical background or demonstrated ability to work effectively with engineering teams
  • Experience with data products, APIs, or developer tools preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-centric mindset with passion for understanding and solving user problems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with customer data platforms, ETL/ELT, or data warehousing
  • Familiarity with modern data stack and analytics tools
  • Understanding of privacy regulations and data governance
  • Experience with product analytics tools and SQL
