The Role

As a Product Manager at Printify, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the product vision for the Discoverability/Catalog domain.

Your primary focus will be to equip merchants with the tools they need to easily find products in the Printify catalog that will help them drive sales. The team's mission is to empower merchants to succeed in e-commerce by optimizing their product offerings on sales channels of choice.

In this role, you will simplify the products discovery process, offer personalized recommendations, and ensure a seamless experience for merchants to find relevant products.

You'll also collaborate closely with a machine learning team to enhance the merchant experience with AI technologies. Additionally, as a PM, you will work closely with the supply and merchandising teams to better understand how to present Printify supply partners' product offerings in a standardized and easily digestible manner.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in building user-facing products, a deep understanding of e-commerce and marketplace dynamics, experience in building recommendation engines, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

Your responsibilities
  • Product Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the consumer-focused POD marketplace, aligned with company goals and market trends.

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research, user analysis, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth in the POD products marketplace.

  • User-Centric Design: Collaborate with design teams to create intuitive, user-centric interfaces that enhance the shopping, customization, and purchasing experience for buyers.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure timely and successful delivery.

  • Feature Development: Define and prioritize features, functionalities, and enhancements based on customer feedback, data-driven insights, and business goals.

  • Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the marketplace and continuously monitor, analyze, and report on product performance.

  • Customer Engagement: Drive customer engagement and retention strategies through personalized recommendations, loyalty programs, and targeted marketing efforts.

  • Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with POD product vendors to optimize product assortment, quality, and fulfillment processes.

  • User Testing and Feedback: Conduct user testing, gather feedback, and iterate on product features to ensure a seamless and delightful user experience.

Your Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years experience working as a Product Manager with a proven track record of building and launching successful products.

  • Experience building advanced recommendation algorithms

  • Passion for a good user experience and a user-centric approach when building customer-facing solutions.

  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, marketplace dynamics, and consumer behavior.

  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion.

  • Proficiency in using data-driven insights to make informed product decisions and drive continuous improvement.

  • Experience with discovery and experimentation.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and product management tools.

  • Passion for innovation, creativity, and staying updated with industry trends including the most recent and emerging generative AI technologies.

  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field, as well as an MBA or advanced degree, is a plus.

  • Previous experience at e-commerce platform companies with recommendation engines at their core will be a plus.
