Summary Generated by Built In

C1.ai is the universal control plane that powers the agentic enterprise.

Every organization runs on hundreds of systems that need to answer the same basic question: who can do what, when, and why?

We're building something foundational: a horizontal control plane that lets both humans and AI agents plug in to navigate the AI-enabled enterprise, to understand who and what has access, and manage it safely as agents take on more of the work. SaaS apps, infrastructure, internal tools, AI agents…if it has a concept of 'who,' it should connect to us.

While we are still small in number, we move fast. If you want to help build this from the ground up, you'll have real ownership here.

The Role

This role is responsible for owning and evolving a core area of C1's Identity Governance platform. You'll partner closely with customers, Customer Success, and Engineering to deliver new capabilities, improve existing workflows, and ensure our platform continues to solve mission-critical identity challenges for enterprise customers. This is an execution-focused product role where strong product judgment, deep domain expertise, and customer empathy matter as much as product strategy.

What You'll Do
  • Own a core area of C1's Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platform, driving product strategy, roadmap execution, and customer outcomes for a mature, enterprise-scale product surface.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and Sales to prioritize customer needs, resolve escalations, and continuously improve product quality, reliability, and usability.

  • Translate customer feedback, usage data, and market insights into well-defined product investments that balance customer impact, technical complexity, and long-term platform strategy.

  • Make thoughtful prioritization decisions across feature development, technical debt, scalability, and operational improvements to maximize customer value.

  • Define clear product requirements and success metrics, ensuring engineering teams have the context needed to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Work cross-functionally with Design, Engineering, Go-to-Market, and Customer Success to successfully launch new capabilities for existing products and drive customer adoption.

  • Monitor product health through customer feedback, adoption metrics, operational signals, and business outcomes, using data to inform future investment decisions.

  • Serve as the product expert for your domain, communicating roadmap priorities, tradeoffs, and strategic direction to internal stakeholders and customers.

You'll likely have:
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience building and scaling enterprise SaaS products, preferably in cybersecurity, identity, or infrastructure software.

  • Deep domain expertise in Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), Identity and Access Management (IAM), privileged access, authentication, authorization, or adjacent security technologies.

  • Experience owning a mature product area, balancing customer requests, strategic investments, platform improvements, and operational excellence.

  • Strong product judgment and a demonstrated ability to prioritize competing customer needs, technical constraints, and business objectives.

  • Experience partnering closely with Customer Success and Engineering to solve real customer challenges and deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • A data-informed approach to product management, using qualitative customer insights and quantitative product metrics to guide decision-making.

  • A collaborative, ownership-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders across Engineering, Design, Go-to-Market, Customer Success, and executive leadership.

  • A track record of driving product quality and customer experience beyond feature delivery.

  • Alignment with our company values: Be Deliberate, Show Kindness, Earn the Customer's Trust, Trust & Empower your People, and Embrace Change.

Salary range: $180k – $210k
