This is a unique opportunity to launch and iterate on a 0-1 self-serve TV advertising product within Tatari. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to solve unique problems in programmatic and direct TV advertising, defining and owning a roadmap within the Tatari self-serve platform in the areas of campaign management and campaign execution.
Your ability to deeply understand and advocate for the needs of our marketer users – from SMB to Enterprise – and how to prioritize our engineering efforts to meet those needs will determine success in this role.
You will be responsible for owning the user experience, rules for setting up and optimizing TV ad campaigns, and integration between our own Media Buying technologies and third parties, such as DSPs & DMPs. You will build out prototypes and products and evaluate how best to automate the entire TV campaign workflow for a true self-serve user experience. You will also collaborate closely with other product managers, engineering teams, media buyers, and marketing to move rapid solutions onto our longer term product roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand programmatic and/or direct TV buying and performance measurement.
- Synthesize compelling product features for automated and differentiated TV buying capabilities, such as retargeting. Balance between what is possible today, and what we should plan for tomorrow.
- Define new solutions and manage a rapid development product lifecycle to deliver those solutions. Work with related engineering teams to translate specific requirements into generalized product roadmap features.
- Help define the company’s product roadmap, both short and long term. Fully owning the roadmap and strategy for your team. Translate the company vision into specific product solutions.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders within the company—Tatari’s buying capabilities are closely related to other departments, including media buying and media operations.
- Manage the entire product life cycle from ideation to prototyping, testing, design, and launch.
- Keep a finger on the pulse of the industry and our competition, and position Tatari’s products accordingly.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant product management experience in direct, programmatic or digital advertising.
- Strong written and verbal communicator with excellent people skills to interact with various teams inside the company, clients, and vendors, including a demonstrable ability to present a case for your roadmap and initiatives to senior leadership in a clear and compelling manner that inspires action.
- Customer-needs obsessed, black-belt user story and solution creation, passionate about solving customer problems.
- Experience and strength in partnering closely with Design to address complex problems and varying customer needs through effective user research and product design
- Passionate about tools and automation, but practical about getting things done.
- It’s a huge plus if you have any of: Adtech and strong programmatic / DSP background; an understanding of advertising media operations; zero-to-one experience building innovative products from scratch; helped a past company evolve home-grown legacy systems into more modern and effective infrastructures.
