Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a high performing professional as a Senior Product Lifecycle Engineering Manager (Level L). This is an exciting opportunity for a high performing professional to join our Boeing Space Launch System (SLS) Team. This position can be located in Huntsville, Alabama; Kennedy Space Center, Florida or New Orleans, Louisiana and supports the Senior Manager of SLS System Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) and a direct report to Space Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Capability Manager. Boeing is responsible for the design, development, test and production of the SLS Stages Contract. NASA’s Space Launch System will provide a critical heavy lift capability powering people and cargo beyond our moon and into deep space.
Responsibilities include:
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Engineering Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Configuration and Data Management (CDM).
- Develops and executes integrated program plans, procedures and processes in regards to the CDM disciplines (Configuration Identification, Change/Baseline Management, Configuration Status Accounting, Configuration Verification/Audits, Data Management and Release) and leads process improvements
- Acquires resources for PLM/CDM activities - forecasts, obtains and manages personnel, facilities, services, equipment and tools
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers. Interface/coordinate with NASA CDM Peer in support of contractual insight/oversight requirements.
- Provides oversight and approvals to ensure technical approach and deliverables comply with customer, company, quality, industry and regulatory requirements.
- Communicates policies and directives to enhance employee awareness and clarify expectations.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- 10+ years of engineering experience.
- 3+ years of management experience.
Relocation:

Summary pay range: $146,200 – 197,800
