We're looking for an experienced Product Engineer to help build the next generation of privacy-focused AI applications. You'll be at the forefront of designing and shipping innovative, user-facing products from the ground up—working at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and real-world applications that solve meaningful problems.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on taking products from 0 to 1, enjoys the pace and autonomy of a startup environment, and wants to work at the cutting edge of applied AI. You'll play a key role in shaping our product engineering culture, mentoring other engineers, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI systems in production.
What You'll Do- Build privacy focused AI applications
- Integrate LLM into consumer apps that improve the UX
- Solve hard technical problems, from user onboarding to high-throughput systems
- Contribute to open-source projects and shape best practices in a rapidly evolving space
- Architect, plan, and execute projects, from initial concept to launch, by breaking down high-level goals into well-defined tasks and tickets for the team
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for the team, collaborating with product and design to clarify requirements and manage technical risks
Required:
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software
- Strong product instincts and a proven track record of building successful, scalable applications
- Deep understanding of modern web technologies and application architecture
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Passion for creating exceptional user experiences
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AI/ML systems and LLM-powered applications
- Background in blockchain or decentralized systems
- Track record of founding or working at early-stage startups
- Contributions to open-source projects

We’re a polyglot team and value engineers who can navigate across boundaries. You are not expected to be an expert in every area and you’ll be working closely with our Protocol Engineering and SRE teams but it helps to understand the tools we use. Our core stack includes:
- Frontend: TypeScript, Next.js, Redux Toolkit, GraphQL
- Backend / Infra: Node, Go, Docker, Kubernetes, CloudFlare

Base Salary: $170,000 – $220,000
This range reflects base salaries for roles in the San Francisco market. For candidates in other locations, compensation is adjusted to remain competitive within their local market.
In addition to the base salary, all full-time team members receive an additional 10% to 25% in liquid benefits with upside based on role, experience, and impact. We believe in building together and sharing in the long-term success of the network. Compensation packages are designed to be competitive and aligned with the growth of both the team and the ecosystem.
