(Senior) Product Engineer (f/m/x)

As part of our Commercial Team, we're building our B2C growth engine from the ground up. We're launching new customer acquisition channels, experimenting with new products, and continuously working towards product-market fit.

We are looking for a Product Engineer who works at the intersection of product, engineering, and growth. In this role, you will develop and launch digital products, build and test MVPs, and implement technical solutions that improve customer acquisition.

1. Build & Launch Digital Products

• Build customer-facing applications, landing pages and conversion funnels to support B2C growth.

• Rapidly develop, launch, and iterate on MVPs to test hypotheses and validate new product ideas.

• Design and run data-driven experiments to measure performance and continuously improve customer acquisition.

2. Drive Product & Growth

• Work closely with C-Level Members and the Commercial Team to identify opportunities to improve the customer journey and increase conversion rates.

• Translate commercial needs into product requirements and prioritize initiatives based on business impact.

• Leverage AI-powered tools and develop custom solutions to automate workflows and improve commercial performance.

3. Work close with both, the Engineering & Commercial Team

• Collaborate with central engineering teams on API integrations, customer handovers, and data consistency across systems.

• Take end-to-end ownership of technical initiatives, proactively managing dependencies and balancing speed with quality and scalability.

• Act as the technical interface between Commercial and Engineering, aligning business requirements with technical implementation.

• Educational background: An excellent academic track record, ideally with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related quantitative field.

• Relevant experience: Initial professional experience in software engineering, product development, technical product management, or as a startup founder, ideally in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.

• Hands-on engineering skills: Strong proficiency in modern web technologies such as JavaScript, React/Next.js, and HTML/CSS. Experience with tools such as Vercel, Supabase, and PostHog or comparable alternatives.

• Will to win: A strong drive to achieve ambitious goals, take ownership, and consistently deliver results, even with limited resources. You set high standards, move fast, and proactively overcome challenges.

• Builder mindset: A proven track record of independently developing and shipping products, tools, or automations that have created measurable business impact.

• Analytical approach: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-informed decisions and measure the impact of your work.

• Languages: Full professional proficiency in German and English.

• Build from zero: Play a key role in building Omniwatt's digital growth engine and launching new smart energy products.

• End-to-end ownership: Own the full product lifecycle, from identifying an opportunity to shipping a solution and measuring its commercial impact.

• Speed & experimentation: Operate in an entrepreneurial environment where rapid prototyping, testing, and learning are part of everyday work.
