Summary Generated by Built In

Our purpose is to positively impact people's lives every day in every home around the world! We work very hard to provide our consumers with high-quality, exciting 5-star products that make life easier. We thrive on passion and innovation and are looking for great people, with great ideas, who want to build the next big thing and develop while they do.

The Product Development organization within SharkNinja drives our global product roadmap from concept to shelf through the constant lens of the consumer. We are the "product CEOs" and partner cross-functionally with almost every other team within the company to drive high satisfaction for our end user and to drive business results. We are comprised of individuals from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds, from product marketing managers to consumer-focused engineers – but we all have one thing in common: we're consistently striving to deliver a 5-star experience for every customer on every product we bring to market.
This role will support the Ninja business with the development of successful and profitable programs for key new products to ensure continued growth of the current portfolios and future expansion into new product categories. This role is expected to be the market expert in new and existing lines, the competitive landscape, retailer assortments and assist the cross-functional NPD team in creating products that will meet the needs of the changing consumer and retailer requests.

  • Support the Ninja business with the development of successful and profitable programs for key products to ensure continued growth of the product portfolio – you will lead new product development (creation and management) of assigned product(s) from brainstorm phase through mass production
  • Manage creation and execution of go-to-market collateral to support product launch, including instructional material and consumer-facing product specification information
  • Define and develop product specifications, user collateral, marrying consumer wants/needs, white space in the market, and new/flagship product technologies as the primary consumer advocate
  • Develop user-relevant design targets for product performance and user experience (human factors, touchpoints, KPIs, and Consumer Satisfaction Indicators) – and act as the beacon of these targets to the cross-functional team of engineers, industrial designers, and commercial marketers
  • Partner with SharkNinja's Insights & Intelligence team to develop consumer testing objectives and implement this consumer-driven feedback into product specifications and design iterations throughout the project development cycle – Product Developers are also often called on to design and lead research studies as well to provide rapid iterative feedback on critical decision during the development process to ensure VOC is at the center of decision making
  • Partner with testing and quality organizations to define, develop and manage quality and performance testing procedures
  • Manage product cost structure, reporting, and cost rationalization exercises
  • Own development of product troubleshooting and "FAQs" to support a 5-star consumer experience post-purchase
  • Act as the product "expert" for cross-functional team member questions and concerns.

Requirements:

  • 4-5+ years of experience in product development, product marketing or marketing, preferably at a consumer goods company
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Management, or a combination of the above
  • A 100% consumer-first perspective when it comes to introducing new products/processes or improving current products
  • A mindset geared toward building relationships across multi-functional teams, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly-effective communication skills – both written (presentation/email) and in-person (ability to host succinct, effective conversations that solve problems and ability to make effective presentations to all levels of management)
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • A desire to learn and grow in a passionate environment
  • The ability to embrace transparency and shifting priorities while learning from each decision and focusing on the path forward
  • Strong communication skills
  • Well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented
  • Affinity for cooking and kitchen appliances a plus

What We Do

SharkNinja redefines fast-paced. Bringing new, complex products to market in new categories every six months is not for the faint of heart. As a result, the talent that comprises our workforce is intelligent, committed, creative, and resilient no matter which department you call home. Everywhere you look here, you see the best of the best.

What makes SharkNinja unique is our method – almost a proprietary intensity – that is shared from top to bottom and produces incredible results. Ours is a winning team that creates the opportunity for anyone to be a winner. It’s a place where we can all (and are expected to) test, fail, learn, win, scale, and do it fast without ego. It’s not easy here by any stretch, but when you see that product that was just a sketch on a slide six months ago and is now on Amazon getting rave reviews, you can’t help but think, ‘Wow, look what we did together.’ If you like that feeling, then SharkNinja might be the place for you.

Why Work With Us

Whether your passion is engineering, designing, marketing, or developing, at SharkNinja you’ll find we’re all about people. We work together to create world-class products that delight our consumers. Building an admired consumer products problem solving engine is hard; we do it better than others by operating differently.
