About Bridger

Bridger is building the world’s first autonomous financial services firm. Businesses of all sizes have finance needs, but SMBs can’t afford in-house teams, so they outsource to accounting firms. With 75% of CPAs potentially retiring by 2030, fees are rising and quality is declining.

We’re building agents that run the entire office of the CFO. We started by acquiring multiple firms with 20+ years of operating experience, which provide foundational data and workflows. Engineers and CPAs from MIT, Blackstone, Microsoft, and EY build agents and serve clients.

Today, we serve 1000+ clients including a vet in New Jersey, a nonprofit in Hawaii, and a bubble tea chain here in NYC. We raised a large seed round and are already profitable.

About the Role

We’re looking for our first design hire, a Senior Product Designer who will define the fundamental architecture of how professionals work with AI agents. You’ll look beyond simple UI polish to solve deep ergonomic challenges: How does an expert service provider delegate and review AI-driven tasks? How do we visualize complex AI-driven workflows? How do we blend autonomy with user agency?

This is a strategic, high-impact role that blends systems thinking and interaction design. We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about the details that make an interface feel right!

As the owner of both design polish and interaction architecture, you’ll work directly with engineers and users to build a design system from scratch, architect intuitive workflows, and drive clarity and scalability across a fast-growing product surface. You won’t just be making screens pretty; you will be architecting the “OS” for professional work.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive Design Strategy. Partner with leadership to turn high-level abstract goals into concrete product requirements and user journeys.

  • Take Ideas End-to-End. You’ll drive creation, whether it’s exploring concepts in Figma, prototyping in code, or shipping production-ready features.

  • Design and Build Interfaces. Solve novel UX challenges involved in making advanced AI capabilities accessible, such as handling streaming latency, visualizing non-deterministic outputs, and designing "human-in-the-loop" verification flows.

  • Define Human-AI Interaction Patterns. You will architect the core UX paradigms for working with AI, moving beyond chat interfaces to create ergonomic, high-bandwidth workflows for complex tasks.

  • Rapid Prototyping. Use whatever tools necessary, from Figma to AI tools, to implement and test design variations in hours, not days.

  • Zero-to-One. Translate scrappy explorations into production-ready experiences, working closely with the engineering team.

  • Collaborate with Internal Teams and Users. Work closely across the company to gather feedback, analyze behavior, and iterate on product improvements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, interaction design, ideally working on complex B2B SaaS

  • Experience in modern front-end frameworks (React, TypeScript, Next.js, etc.).

  • Fluency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and AI-assisted workflows ("vibe-coding"), with a proven ability to iterate quickly based on feedback.

  • Strong visual and interaction design craft, with an exceptional eye for typography, layout, motion, and micro-interactions.

  • Excellent collaboration skills; comfortable working closely with engineers, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within a team environment.

  • Excited to work in a fast-moving, product-first startup where quality, polish, and speed of iteration truly matter.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation & Benefits

For this role, the salary range is $150,000 to $250,000. Actual compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and seniority.

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Unlimited PTO and wellness benefits

  • 401(k) with company matching

  • Equity determined by level and experience

  • Grow into the leader you aspire to be. At a fast-growing company at the forefront of AI transformation, you can enjoy unmatched career growth.

We’re a fast-growing, tight-knit, lean team, looking for a talented and driven team player to shape our product design and ambitious roadmap. Come join us!
