Summary Generated by Built In

At Aftershoot, we’re building more than just AI tools. We’re creating a global community of photographers who spend less time behind their screens and more time behind the lens. Every feature we craft, every update we release, makes post-processing easier, faster, and smarter for photographers everywhere. From culling to editing to retouching, our AI does the heavy lifting so photographers can focus on what they do best: capturing moments, telling stories, and creating magic.

We’re a fast-growing, passionate team trusted by over 100K+ active users globally. And we’re just getting started. Our mission is clear: solve the biggest pain points in photography and grow alongside the photographers who use our tools daily.

If you care about building products that matter, thrive when working with curious, driven teammates, and want to shape how photographers work in the future, we’d love to meet you.

Let’s create the future of AI in photography together.

Your Mission

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who wants to do more than design beautiful interfaces. You’ll drive strategy, shape our design culture, and make a real impact on the lives of photographers around the world.

You’ll lead research, define complex problems, and craft thoughtful solutions that are as elegant as they are effective. You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team that loves what they do and wants you to bring your full self to the table.

 What You’ll Do

  • Own and lead design for key product areas from concept to execution

  • Conduct and synthesise user research into clear, actionable insights

  • Transform insights into user-friendly, intuitive solutions that solve real problems

  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing to deliver seamless experiences

  • Develop and evolve our design system so it scales beautifully across platforms

  • Use data, usability testing, and feedback to continuously iterate and improve designs

  • Mentor junior designers and help shape a strong, supportive design culture

  • Champion design-led thinking and user-first decision making within the team

 What We’re Looking For

  • 5 to 8 years of experience designing SaaS products with a strong track record of shipping thoughtful, high-impact work

  • Hands-on expertise with Figma and other design tools

  • Strong grasp of design systems, user research, and usability best practices

  • Solid problem-solving skills with an understanding of technical considerations for desktop products

  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities to get buy-in from stakeholders

  • A passion for collaboration and helping others grow - you love sharing feedback as much as you love receiving it

  • Bonus points if you know your way around photography tools like Lightroom, Capture One, or Photoshop.

 Brownie Points

  • You’ve spent 4+ years designing SaaS products and understand how to balance user needs with business goals.

  • You’re a photography enthusiast or even a hobbyist - you’ll connect deeply with our community if you know the magic of being behind the lens.

What happens after you apply:

Step 1: If your profile feels like a good fit, our people team will reach out for a short phone chat.

Step 2: You’ll connect with a future team member to learn more about the role and share your story.

Step 3: You’ll complete a design task that lets you showcase how you think and solve problems.

Step 4: You’ll meet our leadership team for a quick bar-raiser round.

Step 5: If everything clicks, we’ll make an offer, celebrate, and welcome you to the team.

You’ll work with:

 Captain: Tejas

If you’re excited to shape the future of AI in photography and help photographers spend more time doing what they love, we’d love to see your portfolio. Apply now!
