We're looking for a Product Designer who thinks beyond pixels and screens, focusing on outcomes, solving complex problems, and creating meaningful user experiences. At Qualys, you'll own the end-to-end design experience for a product area, from identifying opportunities and shaping product strategy to delivering intuitive, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Strategy
- Own the end-to-end user experience for a product area, from discovery and problem definition to design delivery and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to product strategy and roadmap discussions, bringing a strong design and user-centric perspective.
- Proactively identify user pain points, experience gaps, and opportunities for innovation.
- Make informed design decisions and trade-offs, balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
- Translate complex product requirements into intuitive, scalable, and impactful user experiences.
User Research & Analysis
- Plan and conduct user research through interviews, surveys, usability testing, and behavioral analytics.
- Develop user personas, journey maps, workflows, and use cases to understand user needs and challenges.
- Translate research findings and data into actionable insights that influence product direction and design decisions.
- Validate design solutions through iterative testing, feedback, and measurable outcomes.

Design Excellence & Innovation

- Influence product decisions by articulating design rationale, user needs, business impact, and technical considerations.
- Drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leadership and C-suite executives.
- Take ownership of design outcomes and proactively address challenges throughout the product development lifecycle.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and QA teams to ensure design intent is translated accurately into the final product.
- Communicate design decisions, concepts, and recommendations clearly through presentations, prototypes, and documentation.
- Provide constructive feedback, share design expertise, and mentor fellow designers.
- Contribute to a collaborative design culture that encourages experimentation, continuous learning, and design excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, UX, Interaction Design, Communication Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Design, with a portfolio demonstrating ownership of complex product challenges from discovery through delivery.
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers.
- Demonstrated ability to connect design decisions to measurable user and business outcomes.
- Experience designing enterprise B2B applications; familiarity with cybersecurity products or complex technical domains is a significant advantage.
Design & Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and modern prototyping tools.
- Solid understanding of interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and usability principles.
