We are seeking a Senior Digital Product Designer with experience in ecommerce systems to develop intuitive digital products, with a special focus on improving the Checkout process. This position involves leading design initiatives, ensuring a unified and scalable design language in the Checkout experience, and collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers. You will enhance design processes and tools, elevate the user experience in the Checkout of our ecommerce platform, and ensure that all designs are aligned with our brand and business objectives.

What is this all about?

· Lead the design and implementation of the Checkout solutions, optimizing systems, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the digital purchase process.

· Create and maintain a library of components, patterns, and guidelines specific to Checkout, including design tokens, content guides, and interaction best practices.

· Develop and update documentation, standards, and best practices for Checkout design to ensure consistency and alignment across teams and digital products.

· Optimize and standardize design processes related to Checkout, including file management, version control, and collaboration across teams.

· Act as a Brand Champion. By embracing our brand values, you will contribute a systemic perspective to ensuring visual consistency and appeal in Checkout designs that embody the essence of luxury.

· Mentor and guide other Product Designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation in areas such as persona development, segmentation strategies, and advanced data analysis applied to Checkout.

· Conduct comprehensive user research to understand needs, behaviors, and pain points during the Checkout process. Use these insights to guide design decisions and identify improvement opportunities.

· Create effective design solutions. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that clearly visualize interactions and concepts for Checkout, facilitating

stakeholder communication and alignment. Ensure designs are optimized for usability and conversion throughout the purchase process.

· Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to understand user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints, translating them into effective Checkout design solutions. Work together to identify areas for improvement in the buying experience.

· Enhance cross-platform experience. Design cohesive and responsive Checkout solutions that perform seamlessly across both web and mobile applications, ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience.

· Facilitate usability testing. Organize and conduct user testing sessions to gather specific feedback and insights for Checkout. Use the data collected to refine designs and improve the purchase experience, applying testing methodologies such as A/B testing to assess impact on user journeys.

· Stay up-to-date and innovate. Keep abreast of the latest trends, tools, and technologies in Checkout design, recommending their integration into our processes to foster innovation and maintain product relevance.

Qualifications

Who are you?

· Minimum 8 years of experience in digital product design and at least 4 years working on Checkout projects, with strong expertise in native apps (iOS and Android).

· Strong portfolio demonstrating experience designing and optimizing purchase flows and digital payment processes. Proven ability to elevate the value of design within the organization, influence product strategy, and align with business objectives.

· Advanced proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

· Knowledge of project management and collaboration platforms, including Jira and Confluence.

· Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive design, and mobile-first approaches, especially as applied to Checkout experiences.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills to present and discuss design decisions focused on the purchasing experience.

· Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (including product, development, and QA) on Checkout projects.

· Ability to understand requirements and design comprehensive user experiences for the purchase process.

· Expert knowledge in user-centered design principles, UX/UI best practices, testing methodologies, accessibility standards, iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design, and specific recommendations for payment and Checkout flows.

Tech Skills & Certifications

· HTML CSS Javascript Knowledge is highly valuable

Skills & Behaviours

· Strong visual storytelling ability to present design concepts and strategies at all organizational levels.

· Deep understanding of design strategy and its application across global markets.

· Previous experience in the Food & Beverage and Luxury Brand sectors is a plus.

· Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

· A good understanding of native apps coding languages, design patterns and technical implementation aspects is a big plus.

· Proficiency in motion design, animation, and video editing, with a keen interest in exploring generative AI tools and techniques.
