The Home Lending Data Automation team provides centralized prioritization, planning, design, execution leadership, and support for large, complex, technology-dependent data programs and projects across the Home Lending organization. As a key driver in the project delivery lifecycle, this team partners across Consumer and Community Banking and the JPMC Enterprise to define strategies and approaches for testing Home Lending Data initiatives, as well as setting and stewarding sound User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Management methodologies.
As a Senior Product Delivery Associate - Automation Lead within the Home Lending Data Automation team, you will be a key promoter in expanding and maintaining data automation testing across Home Lending. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver comprehensive test strategies that ensure the success of automated testing and focus on promoting Test Automation forward.
Job responsibilities
- Participate in product intake meetings to understand new data changes or revisions to existing data, such as updates to data sources or modifications in data structure.
- Engage in product refinement sessions with a goal of defining clear testing requirements.
- Collaborate with product, data owners, and consumers to confirm testing methodology, testing process, test scenarios, and staging requirements.
- Translate business stories into automation stories, ensuring the stories provide clear direction on the test scenarios scope to ensure testing is comprehensive.
- Lead test automation refinement sessions with automation engineers, ensuring testing expectations are clear.
- Monitor test automation development progress to ensure automation scripts are completed, reviewed and approved by all critical stakeholders.
- Monitor daily automation results, reporting all defects, lead defect and incident triage meetings to ensure all issues are resolved.
- Deliver signoff with clear messaging on any gaps, mitigation planning, and watch items for the production release. Mitigation planning involves strategies to address identified risks, while watch items are potential issues to monitor post-release
- Analyze test automation performance metrics and stakeholder feedback to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to enhance the product.
- Update stakeholders on product progress, challenges, and upcoming priorities, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.
- Identify potential risks to product data quality and implementing measures to mitigate them.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of UAT testing experience
- Have a deep understanding of Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Delivery principles and advocate for testability and clarity in evaluating user stories.
- Proficient in JIRA, JIRA Align, Excel, PowerPoint, and Process Mapping Tools.
- Experience in agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban for managing product backlogs and planning sprints.
- Experience in qTest and other test management tools
- Proven ability to manage work with minimal oversight, demonstrating initiative and self-direction.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with developers, product owners, and stakeholders and strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify root causes of test failures and develop solutions.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.
- Ability to query data using SQL for effective data analysis.
- Experience in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) for enhanced reporting and insights.
