Senior Robotic System Applications Engineer
Location: Wilmington office, Boston, MA.
The Robotics Focus Applications (RFAS) Team are advertising a Robotics Applications Engineering role, located in the Wilmington office in Boston, MA. The team is responsible for expansion of ADI revenue globally in the areas of mounted robots, mobile robots, and humanoids. This role will be an integral part of the global robotics team, but will also work closely with the robotics teams located in Wilmington including those in the broader RFAS Team, as well as those in the Robotics System Solutions Team and the Emerging Business Unit. The role will have a particular and strong alignment with the Humanoid-focussed team within RFAS and will carry the following key responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, development, and validation of hardware, software, and embedded systems for advanced robotic platforms, with a focus on humanoid applications.
- Support demos and customer engagements as needed in the US region for both humanoid and mobile/mounted robot applications.
- Support the creation and optimization of system architectures for robotics solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions for humanoid robots and related platforms.
- Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to understand system-level requirements and ensure solutions meet project goals.
- Participate in the ideation and definition of new products to enable growth in the robotics market.
- Participate in the development of technical training materials and application notes for Field Application Engineers.
- Stay current on trends in robotics, AI, and sensing technologies, sharing insights to inform team projects and strategy.
Required Profile:
- Bachelor’s Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related) with 4+ years of experience in a relevant field.
- Experience with Analog Sensing Circuit Design
- Hands-on experience in robotics systems development (PCB, firmware, or FPGA experience a plus).
- Familiarity with humanoid, mobile robotics, collaborative robots, and/or industrial vision technologies (e.g., ToF, radar, sensor fusion).
- Understanding of motion control concepts (BLDC, PMSM drives) and interest in learning advanced techniques.
- Understanding of industrial connectivity (Ethernet, EtherCAT, CANFD, T1S/T1L).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communicator and proactive collaborator in a diverse, international team environment.
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of cutting-edge robotics projects.

Shift Type: 1st Shift/DaysThe expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $110,385 to $151,808.
Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
