This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Data Product Analyst with a strong background in Development Sciences, Clinical Supply, and Data Product Management to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology by translating scientific and operational requirements into scalable data products, with a focus on laboratory data, logical data modeling, data lifecycle management, and enterprise data integration.
Data Product Management
- Partner with Development Sciences and Clinical Supply stakeholders to define and evolve data products supporting scientific and laboratory processes.
- Own the analysis and definition of data requirements, business rules, and data lifecycle processes across multiple enterprise platforms.
- Facilitate workshops with scientists, laboratory users, and business stakeholders to gather business requirements and use cases.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, data mapping documents, and acceptance criteria following SDLC best practices.
- Analyse scientific and operational data originating from systems such as LIMS, laboratory instruments, Signals, and other research platforms.
- Develop and maintain logical data models, data mappings, schemas, metadata definitions, and documentation supporting enterprise data products.
- Define source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and transformation rules in collaboration with architects and engineering teams.
- Support end-to-end data lifecycle management, including data ingestion, validation, quality, governance, lineage, and retention.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to ensure reliable integration of laboratory and manufacturing data into enterprise platforms.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Data Engineers, Architects, Scientists, QA, and Software Engineers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, UAT, and release activities.
- Produce and maintain high-quality business documentation, process models, logical data models, mapping specifications, metadata documentation, and analytical deliverables.
- Ensure all data products and analytical processes comply with GxP, data integrity principles, and applicable pharmaceutical regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Analyst, Data Product Analyst, Data Product Manager, or similar role within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Strong understanding of Development Sciences and Clinical Supply business processes.
- Experience with Data Product Management.
- Experience with Logical Data Modeling, Data Mapping, Schema Design, and Metadata Management.
- SQL, Databricks, AWS, Python
- Experience working with laboratory systems such as LIMS, Signals (ELN), or similar scientific platforms.
- Understanding of Data Lifecycle Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Lineage.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical specifications for engineering teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
