Searching for someone with extensive experience in procurement; the successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate deep procurement experience, knowledge, and previous success.
Skills include: Strategic Sourcing, Indirect Procurement, Procurement operations, Change management, Resource planning, and eSourcing Technology
Foster and manage strategic relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers
Provide direction, manage performance, and ensure staff development for both direct reports and dotted-line reports
Build successful and repeatable processes and systems to simply procurement ways of working
Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Delivery of annual savings plan for spend and savings projections
Apply client’s strategic sourcing methodology
Negotiate supplier contracts
Interface with finance, leadership, and other stakeholders in pursuit of savings targets
Lead contracts and supplier implementations
Drive adoption of procurement policies across the company
Lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for all Indirect spend categories, including MRO, Temp Labor, and IT
Create and lead the development of bid packages and administer RFP/RFQ/RFI
Support companies with supply challenges
Qualifications The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:
5+ years or more of relevant experience in Indirects and Capital sourcing and procurement
Experience developing and leading high performing teams
Excellent financial acumen
Demonstrated success using analytical skills, as well as written, and verbal communication skills
Collaborative individual with the ability to work across multiple units, people, skills, and personalities
Adaptable, flexible, positive, open to learning, developing, and welcoming of new ideas
Accessible to internal and external clients
Well organized, and able to work on multiple tasks
Self-motivated and ambitious, ability to operate without supervision
Experience leading supplier negotiations
Experience working with Microsoft Office, at an advanced level
Bachelor's degree required. MBA desirable
Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally, up to 50%
