The Senior APAC Procurement Manager will own the development and execution of category strategy for all non-trade categories in APAC (China, Japan & HK). They will collaborate with business stakeholders from various functional areas including Marketing, E-Comm, Retail, Supply Chain, and IT to identify opportunities for value improvement and deliver key business outcomes utilizing Procurement best practices. The position will be based in Shanghai reporting to Global Procurement Director (based in the United States) and lead a team of Procurement Specialists in China & Japan.

65% Partner with Global Procurement Leadership Team for the following:
Quarterly and annual Procurement strategy road maps.
S2P (Source to Pay) improvement initiative which includes transformation for process and technology.
Quarterly Performance Reviews for APAC Leadership and Regional Activity Reviews with the Director of Global Procurement.
Participating and setting a Leadership example for department meetings, trainings, and DEI initiatives.

Develop and implement long-term strategies for APAC including:
Lead APAC categories and develop a long-term strategy that is aligned with company/department/regional goals.
Support the region by being a collaborative partner with APAC Leadership for executive communications, Procurement Performance, forecasting, project planning, and opportunities for process efficiencies. 
Strong bi-lingual (English & Chinese) capability to provide APAC insights in Global category strategy development and also implementation of Global category strategy in APAC region.

Manage and Improve the Sourcing Process by:
Identifying cost optimization opportunities, drive purchasing process and strategy compliance including:
Spend analysis to identify APAC key non-trade categories for strategy development.
Research supply market data to generate actionable insights and implications on category strategy.
Lead the RFI/RFP process for goods and services in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Maintain regular and appropriate internal and external communications throughout the Procurement process.
Perform data analysis to analyze the total cost of ownership of submitted proposals.
Lead the commercial and legal agreement negotiation strategies for APAC contracts.
Lead change management activities in support of the sourcing process.

15% Procurement Policy and Process Implementation and Training in APAC, including:
Support Deckers Source-to-Pay initiatives to deliver cross-functional process improvements.
Lead the implementation and training of Global procurement policy and process training in APAC region.

10% Utilize Procurement Tool for process consistency:
Assist with Procurement tool and function in APAC region for accurate project management and reporting of planned and current projects.

5% iProcurement (Oracle EBS) 
Review and approve spend requests in accordance with Deckers Procurement policy.
Partner with Global Procurement Strategy Team to support region for iProcurement training, high level questions, and system issues.

5% Implementation of Deckers Travel Program in APAC.
Assist global team with the APAC implementation of a new Travel Management Company.
Maintain the current Deckers Travel Program in partnership with the Global Team for air, hotel, and ground transportation providers.
