As a Senior Plant Process Safety Engineer, you’re responsible for manufacturing process safety. Coordinating compliance efforts with government bodies in Singapore. You're to support our Singapore Reaction plant Process Safety operations located in Jurong Island.
As a Senior Plant Process Safety Engineer – Oilfield Industrial Chemical, you will be responsible for:
Coordinating compliance efforts with Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Occupational Safety and Health Division, Major Hazard Department (MDH), National Environmental Agency (NEA), Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and internal process safety.
Providing regulatory interpretation and technical support on Process safety matters
Lead site to implement process safety and engineering initiatives as developed by headquarters or customized for each site.
Integrate the requirements for process safety, operational integrity, mechanical integrity and maintenance to present as a cohesive and comprehensive plan for the plant and communicates across the function in area of expertise.
Coordinate process hazard analysis revalidation scheduling and employee participation with plant personnel.
Coordinating collection and maintenance of Process Safety Information (PSI) indicators for the manufacturing plant and construction personnel
Establishing a culture of process safety program ownership through employee participation by coaching and mentoring employees on their roles and responsibilities within process safety management system
Providing oversight to MOC by maintaining and auditing MOC and Pre-Start Up Safety Review (PSSR) records and procedures

To be successful in this role you will:
Have bachelor’s degree in chemical / mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Have at 3 - 5 years and above of process safety experience.
Have hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing / Plant environment.
Have experience dealing with local regulator such as MHD, MOM, NEA, SCDF etc.
Have experience in safety case regime and Process Safety Management System (PSM)
Have proven written and verbal communication skills in English.
Have ability to effectively interact with site management, field operations personnel, internal/external stake holder etc.
Have excellent leadership, interpersonal, team building and influencing skills.
