Lumentum is seeking an experienced Process Integration Engineer to join the Communication and Commercial Optical Products business unit. The successful candidate will work in the engineering organization in our Asia Center of Excellence, Thailand. In this role the candidate will provide technical solutions, manage program execution for new product introduction and/or transfer and product scrap reduction activities. The candidate will work closely with RCD teams abroad and local teams to define process requirements and integrate new process and technologies into manufacturing.
The successful candidate should be self-motivated, a creative thinker, exhibit drive for success, process and systems oriented, hands-on, work well in a cross function team, and manage with clear and concise data with emphasis on product manufacturing cost and engineering solutions
In this role, the candidate will also:
Configure, design, develop and optimize processes
Lead, or perform, and create DOE for machine validation and set-up
Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data
Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
Perform process simulations
Assess day-to-day issues, dig root cause analysis, and formulate CAPA
Perform DOE in solving complex problems and developing actions
Generate FMEA, QCFC, WI, checklists, 8D, DFM, and other related documents
Interact with functional Teams such as RND and recommend improvements
Performs coaching on cross-functional teams Product Engineering and Product Line Management to validate requirements and ensure process or technology milestones are clearly defined and achieved
Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
Manage cost and time constraints
Ensure compliance with quality assurance processes and industry best practice
Coach, mentor and motivate team members
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or appropriate sciences, Mechanical Engineer is an advantage
>3 years of experience in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment, preferably in semiconductor or opto-electronics
Familiarity with the design of experiments (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC)
Proactive and creative thinker with strong analytical and problem solving
Ability to work in a cross-functional team and interact with all levels of management
Strong leadership and inter-personal, written and oral skills
Willing to participate in calls in multiple time zones, and occasional overseas
Conceptualize tooling design
