The Role

With a patented modular open systems architecture, our DAC platform allows for plug-and-play upgrades, mass production, unlimited scalability, and rapid technology iterations.
We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to work within our Projects team and own the process engineering discipline with the design, execution, and operation of Direct Air Capture (DAC) facilities. Your work will play a pivotal role in driving down costs and boosting efficiency in large-scale deployments. This role will have an opportunity to be a technical leader within the organization and deliver projects integral to meeting our strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Key Process Engineering subject matter expert within the Projects team
- Support project development activities across the project lifecycle
- Drive and develop internal process engineering competency
- Lead and participate in hazard analysis activities and drive a strong process safety culture within the organization
- Interface with commercial partners, vendors, equipment suppliers, and contractors
Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- 8+ years of relevant process engineering experience
- Able to create and review process documents
- Strong understanding of gas processing, separation technologies, and heat transfer
- Professional communication, writing, presentation skills
- Proficiency with process engineering tools (Aspen Plus) and familiarity with Python
- Adaptability to start-up environment and ability to develop own tasks and timelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering large capital projects in a processing industry (i.e. oil & gas, chemicals, refining, etc.)
- Experience with operations in an industrial facility
- Experience with new technology development or deployment
- Working knowledge of HAZOP and PHA studies
- Direct Air Capture / Natural gas / Biomethane / Biogas / Renewables experience
