Job Duties

As a Wastewater Modeller, you will manage a diverse range of sewerage-related projects that deliver sustainable benefits to communities and the environment through public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise modellers in integrating hydraulic modelling (1D–2D) with engineering aspects of the project.
• Train modellers to understand engineering constraints and opportunities to ensure realistic model outputs.
• Review technical work including model build (1D–2D), model verification, evaluation, feasibility, optioneering, and outline design of solutions.
• Liaise with clients on a daily basis and build strong internal/external client relationships through value addition.
• Influence delivery teams to adopt smarter methods by developing automation tools while maintaining high quality.
• Take accountability for high-standard deliverables by applying various review methods and documentation practices.
• Manage project teams and client relationships, clarifying expectations and outcome measures to meet requirements and deliver successful projects.
• Support team and business development through recruitment, staff development, and winning new work in new regions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Geography.
• 12+ years of experience in hydraulic design or modelling.
• Preferably fully chartered or close to undergoing the chartership interview with a recognized institution (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
• In-depth knowledge or experience with tools such as InfoWorks ICM, MapInfo, QGIS, SewerGEMS, HEC-RAS, MicroDrainage, or similar.
• Strong, self-motivated, and assertive individual capable of working and managing under pressure.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to new or challenging work as per business requirements.
