About the Role:
This position is within HARMAN’s Automotive Division. The primary responsibility is to facilitate & moderate creation of Product FMEA on system design and architecture for Car Audio Systems as well as for complex audio features. The System Architecture team is looking for the ultimate team player with positive and constructive thinking. The Successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of accomplishment of success with audio systems failure mode avoidance and customer facing interaction.

What You Will Do :
- Create Product FMEA on System Design and Architecture on basic, mid to high complex Systems, Platforms and modules for Car Audio Systems from basic idea up to product launch
- Technical lead on creation of FMEA collaborating with cross competency SME’s of SYS, HW, ME and SW.
- Lead and steer the technical discussions with cross- functional team on failure modes from product design, quality, testing, reliability to ensuring feasible and cost optimized product design.
- Perform technical presentations directly with OEM’s on FMEA related discussions
- Perform design reviews for each development stage about compliance of development parts to system design requirements to secure maturity
What You Need:
- Master or Bachelor’s degree with appropriate software/hardware and embedded system working knowledge
- 10+ Year’s experience in OEM automotive product design (audio systems preferred)
- Vehicle communication bus experience CAN, Ethernet, A2B
- Onboard communication busses such as, I2C, (O, Q)SPI, TDM, UART
- Software development, debugging, and validation experience
- In-Depth understanding of the automotive product design and development process
- Solid background in using development tools for requirements management and system design
- Ability to communicate architecture concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely to all levels of the business
- Good written and verbal communication in English
- Flexible in terms of tasks and responsibility
- Ability to build relations and work independently
- Self-motivated, passionate about audio and high sense of responsibility
What is Nice to Have:
- Ideal candidate has experience working as an audio, infotainment, or other automotive module engineer with automotive OEM customers
- Automotive systems experience
- Embedded system design experience or familiarity
- Desired to have exposure on Embedded system software development
- Experience working with automotive OEM in an embedded system development
- TS16949 and familiarity desired on tools for DFMEA like APIS, Siemens Team Center
