General Description:
Own the accurate and controlled maintenance of pricing master data in SAP, ensuring correct billing, compliance with tax rules and full audit readiness, while driving continuous improvement of the pricing master data process.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Master Data Maintenance
- Record pricing master data in SAP (price lists, condition records, discounts, agreements and rebates) based on approved change requests from Commercial/Distribution, ensuring accurate billing.
- Perform annual pricing updates: prepare, upload, review and test new prices before go-live.
- Ensure requests are processed within agreed SLAs and prioritise urgent/business-critical changes.
Controls & Governance
- Operate the agreed maker-checker control: change request by Commercial/Distribution, input by GBS Master Data, approval by FP&A – with all requests, approvals and communications retained as audit evidence.
- Perform periodic reviews of pricing data, including expired, duplicate or or inconsistent condition records, and drive clean-up actions.
- Align pricing master data with tax indicator rules in close collaboration with Tax teams.
- Monitor billing errors and pricing-related invoice disputes; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Audit Readiness
- Support internal and external audits (incl. SOX): workflow walkthroughs, sample selection support and provision of evidence.
- Maintain a complete, well-organised audit trail of all pricing changes.
Process Improvement & Knowledge
- Contribute to the design, roll-out and continuous improvement of the Pricing Master Data SOP and related training.
- Maintain desk procedures and act as backup/trainer for team members.
- Identify automation and simplification opportunities and support system/process changes (UAT testing).
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Economics, IT or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in master data, OTC/billing or finance operations, ideally in a shared services environment.
- Hands-on SAP SD pricing knowledge (condition records, VK11/VK12/VK13) – strong advantage.
- Understanding of internal controls (maker-checker, SOX) and audit evidence requirements.
- Experience in European market is needed
- Advanced Excel skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
