The Honeywell Application Sales Engineer works closely with the Regional Sales Team, internal technical departments and our channel partners within region, providing pre-sales support including techno-commercial advice and guidance on Honeywell solutions. The Application Sales Engineer reports to the Application Sales Engineering Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Join the Regional Sales team in further extending the local footprint while achieving commercial targets in line with the Honeywell growth vision.
- Be the regional technical resource and single point of contact both for sales team and for the Honeywell VAR channel and consultant network
- Provide presales solution design consultancy, quotations, tender support (RFI, RFP processes), proof-of-concept support and tailored training to authorized Honeywell channel partners, end users and consultants.
- Initiate and run live and digital events (seminars, webinars & presentations) for channel partners, end users and consultants.
- Support the Honeywell UK & Ireland Sales Team in customer engagements through the creation and delivery of high-impact presentations and demonstrations for executive audiences.
- Represent Honeywell at regional trade shows and industry events. Regional technical sales liaison with marketing/ engineering/ product management/ operations/ management teams
Key skills and qualifications
- Ideally have bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science and/ or equivalent field experience with electronic access control systems, Physical Security Solutions & industry, and/or information technologies
- Open to remote and onsite activities with a share of 60% business travel under usual circumstances. Experienced in tender reviews, specification and bid support. Strong communicator. Good internal and external networker. Solid technical knowledge of integrated security systems. Hand on experience is a major plus.
- Solid technical knowledge within access control and good knowledge about access control megatrends (cybersecurity, cloud, secure key i.e. DESFire EV3 and mobile credentials, smart buildings)
- Honeywell product knowledge and technical certifications are a major plus. Specifically, on LenelS2 OnGuard and Netbox products, as well as Honeywell Pro-Watch and MAXPRO VMS, or similar competitive solutions.
- Good level of general IT knowledge including but not limited to Windows OS, IP networks and virtualization. Brilliant knowledge on how to practically apply Physical Security Solutions to provide added value to end user operations. Confident in explaining complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
