Location: Remote
As a Senior Power BI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Power BI dashboards and data models that deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Create data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations to support business logic.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into visual analytics.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization across reports.
Implement security policies and role-based access controls for sensitive data.
Integrate Power BI with cloud platforms (Azure Data Lake, SQL Server, ADF pipelines).
Support incremental data loads, SSIS packages, and scheduled refresh jobs
Provide training and documentation for end-users and business teams.
Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and recommend enhancements.
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and SQL.
Experience with data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and data modeling.
Familiarity with Azure services, including Data Factory, Synapse, and Data Lake.
Hands-on experience with SSIS, Python, and PySpark (preferred).
Understanding of Power BI licensing, capacity planning, and deployment pipelines
Ability to work with large datasets, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
6+ years of experience in BI development, with at least 4 years in Power BI.
Experience in CPG, healthcare, or financial domains is a plus
Strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
Exposure to design thinking, user-first reporting, and KPI-driven dashboards
Pay:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $150,000 - $170,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company.
