The role:
Our award-winning talent in VFX, Colour Grading, Editing, Sound Design and Content Production sit under one roof to provide end to end services for the advertising and creative industries. We collaborate with our clients to craft campaigns across multiple platforms and disciplines, adopting an innovative and agile approach to creative and post-production processes.
The Sr. Post Producer is a highly experienced and strategic leader responsible for the comprehensive management and successful delivery of complex and high-profile post-production projects. This role demands a deep understanding of the entire post-production pipeline, exceptional client management skills, and the ability to mentor and guide junior team members. The Sr. Post Producer takes full ownership of projects from concept through final delivery, ensuring the highest creative standards, on-time execution, and strict adherence to budgetary parameters. They are instrumental in fostering strong client relationships and optimizing workflows for efficiency and quality.
Reporting lines and key stakeholders This role reports to the Executive Post Producer. You will work closely with clients, agency partners, creative teams, primary production teams, and post-production operators, often acting as the primary point of contact for complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Project Leadership: Lead and oversee the end-to-end post-production lifecycle for multiple, often complex and high-value, projects, ensuring alignment with creative vision, strategic objectives, and client expectations.
- Budget & Schedule Mastery: Develop, manage, and meticulously track detailed project budgets and schedules, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints. Provide regular, transparent financial updates to stakeholders.
- Client & Agency Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients and agency partners, building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships. Effectively communicate project status, manage expectations, and expertly navigate feedback and revisions.
- Team Supervision & Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to post-production teams and junior producers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Assign lead operators and allocate resources effectively based on project needs and team strengths.
- Workflow Optimization & Best Practices: Champion and enforce best practices for post-production workflows, identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies. Define, communicate, and ensure adherence to production standards across all projects.
- Resource Management & Vendor Negotiation: Strategically identify, onboard, and manage internal and external resources, including freelance talent and third-party vendors. Expertly negotiate rates and contracts to secure optimal services within budget.
- Technical & Creative Oversight: Possess a comprehensive understanding of all post-production techniques, software, and emerging technologies (e.g., After Effects, Maya, Nuke, Cinema 4D, Flame, Unreal Engine, etc.) to effectively guide creative decisions and troubleshoot technical challenges.
- Problem Solving & Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential issues, anticipate challenges, and develop innovative solutions to keep projects on track. Demonstrate strong decision-making capabilities under pressure.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet rigorous quality standards and client specifications, conducting thorough reviews and approvals at key stages.
- Financial Reconciliation: Oversee the accurate reconciliation of all project costs, approve invoices, and provide detailed financial reporting to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Global Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with International Centers of Excellence, leveraging global expertise and resources to enhance project delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a Post Production environment as an active producer within advertising, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex, high-profile campaigns.
- Advanced understanding of production, post-production, and adaptation project workflows, including experience with diverse content types (e.g., broadcast commercials, digital content, social media, long-form).
- Expert-level knowledge of all post-production techniques, software, and how each are used to complete projects (e.g., After Effects, Maya, Nuke, Cinema 4D, Flame, DaVinci Resolve, Unreal Engine, etc.).
- Deep familiarity with the various roles, functions, capabilities, equipment, and applications within a modern Post Production Department.
- Exceptional client relationship management skills, with a proven ability to build rapport, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Highly results-driven, proactive, and autonomous, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with experience guiding and developing junior team members.
- Advanced working knowledge of industry-standard technology including Adobe Creative Suite (Premier, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), and other relevant post-production tools.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new working methods, emerging technologies, and evolving client needs.
- Extensive experience with booking VO talent, managing music licensing, and utilizing stock asset libraries.
- Superior time management, organizational, and detail-oriented skills, with a proven ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for clear and concise interaction with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
