About the roleAs a Senior Platform Engineering Manager at Duolingo, you will own mission-critical infrastructure projects from end to end, contribute to our technical strategy, and lead a team of world-class engineers.
You will lead teams that build the core networking, storage, and foundational tooling for Duolingo's infrastructure across multiple cloud providers. You will define and drive a multi-year strategy for scaling the developer experience on our cloud infrastructure.

- Lead multiple teams and collaborate with peers across the Platform pillar to build an empowering developer interface for product and platform engineers across Duolingo.
- Own the planning, execution, and success of projects that directly improve the stability, performance, and cost of our infrastructure and our top-line business metrics.
- Partner closely with product engineering to identify high-ROI platform investments; align stakeholders, remove roadblocks, and ensure impact.
- Set clear expectations around engineering quality and promote practices that enhance code quality, scalability, and maintainability.

We post a multi-level salary range for all of our roles.
