Salary: $130k–$160k, depending on experience
We are seeking a Sr. Platform Engineer to own and evolve the infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments that power our business. This role is critical in ensuring that Elysium Health’s core systems remain scalable, secure, and cost-effective, while also enabling new product innovation and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Architect, manage, and optimize our multi-cloud environment (Heroku, AWS, GCP) to support current operations and future growth.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency across all platform components.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that streamline development and deployment processes for our Shopify-based storefront, internal Ruby on Rails applications, and potential new apps.
- Champion best practices in automation, testing, and monitoring to reduce downtime and increase release velocity.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics (SLAs/SLIs), proactively identifying issues before they impact customers.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement centralized security tooling (e.g., endpoint management), SSO, and overall security monitoring.
- Provide guidance on infrastructure and integration decisions that impact martech consolidation and new product initiatives.
- Act as a subject matter expert for cloud, platform, and DevOps topics, providing support to internal engineers and external agency partners.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and driving the adoption of emerging tools and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Proven track record managing production environments on Heroku, AWS, and/or GCP.
- Strong background in CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Ruby, Python, Go, or similar).
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (Shopify or comparable) and subscription management tools (e.g., Ordergroove, Recharge).
- Understanding of security best practices (SSO, IAM, endpoint management).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities; comfortable troubleshooting complex systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, able to translate technical details into business considerations.
