- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC, ensuring it meets product needs while instilling best practices and architectural patterns that promote scalability, security, and maintainability.
- As an active developer, own and improve our CI/CD pipelines, including testing frameworks, local development environments, multi-staging instances, and ephemeral environments for fast iteration.
- Partner with internal teams to build and maintain tooling and platforms that enhance productivity and operational excellence across the engineering organization.
- Provide support and guidance to product teams across all lines, ensuring smooth feature delivery.
- Improve, manage, and teach standards for code maintainability and performance in code submitted and reviewed
- Drive the implementation and promotion of observability best practices, ensuring comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and tracing using Datadog across all services.
- Stay current with emerging tools and technologies and recommend opportunities to improve operational efficiency and platform capabilities.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering
- 1+ years of DevOps or relevant experience managing and automating cloud infrastructure deployment, especially on AWS.
- Strong experience with and interest in:
- AWS (Fargate, Lambda, Step Functions...)
- Infrastructure as Code (i.e. Terraform, Terraform CDK, AWS CDK)
- Python 3
- Postgres DB (AWS RDS)
- NoSQL (DynamoDB)
- Containerized Workflows (Docker, Podman, etc)
- Serverless Workflows(Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, message queues)
- Monitoring, Alerting, Tracing w/ Datadog
- GitHub
- CI/CD using GitHub Actions
- React w/ Typescript
- Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC2 Compliance processes
- Automated testing experience: E2E, Integration, and Unit
- Temporal.io and/or other workflow orchestration tools like Airflow
- Experience building or interacting with GraphQL APIs
The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $210,000 yr. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we also offer competitive equity and benefits packages.
