Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join our innovative team! In this role, you will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient platform solutions across enterprise data centers, hybrid-cloud environments, and tactically deployed or disconnected settings. You will leverage your expertise in container orchestration, Linux infrastructure, infrastructure automation, DevSecOps, and cloud-native technologies to support mission-critical operations.
What You'll Be Doing:
Design, deploy, configure, secure, and maintain enterprise platform infrastructure.
Engineer and administer OpenShift and Kubernetes environments supporting mission applications and services.
Develop automated deployment, configuration, sustainment, and remediation capabilities using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code.
Deploy and maintain RHEL-based infrastructure.
Develop standardized platform architectures for consistent deployment across enterprise, cloud, edge, and disconnected environments.
Support DevSecOps pipelines and automated software/platform delivery processes.
Integrate platform infrastructure with networking, identity, cybersecurity, logging, monitoring, storage, and application services.
Develop and maintain platform configuration baselines and reusable automation.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, container, Linux, networking, and automation issues.
Support platform modernization and migration activities.
Evaluate emerging cloud-native, automation, AI/ML, and infrastructure technologies for mission applicability.
Create technical architecture documentation, diagrams, deployment procedures, configuration documentation, and operational runbooks.
Participate in technical demonstrations, prototypes, proofs of concept, integration events, and operational deployments.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure platform implementations meet DoD security and compliance requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and operations personnel.
Support mission systems throughout development, integration, testing, deployment, and operational sustainment.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field and 10+ years of related experience (additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
Experience in platform engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps/DevSecOps, or a closely related technical discipline.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale infrastructure or platform solutions.
Hands-on experience administering and engineering OpenShift and/or Kubernetes environments.
Experience implementing automation using Ansible or comparable configuration-management technologies.
Experience supporting Linux-based enterprise infrastructure, preferably RHEL.
Experience implementing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment methodologies.
