As a DDI Engineer at Capital One you will accomplish these things and more in one of the largest, most dynamic, and sophisticated financial service organizations in the world.
The engineering role provides Infoblox appliance engineering, operation tasks, and support for new innovations, projects, and standards development. Ensures adherence to defined network Engineering Processes and identifies and helps influence platform strategic direction in coordination with business user needs and direction.
Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) comprises many of Capital One's most important enterprise platforms. We play an essential role in establishing practices for building technology solutions across the company, while also delivering capabilities that exemplify those practices.
General Responsibilities:

  • Utilize DDI expertise to develop Enterprise network solutions within the Infoblox and AWS network space
  • Technology integration point with other Capital One engineering teams to provide strategic solutions
  • Develop creative and innovative solutions
  • Engage with business groups to ensure DNS strategies and standards incorporated early in the process
  • Help Identify and manage risks within the DDI platform
  • Implement engineered designs as applicable
  • Platform and incident management support and root cause analysis
  • Ability to engage and influence team members as well as people external to the team
  • Knowledge of Hardware and Software troubleshooting


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 4 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
  • At least 2 years of experience with AWS


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of experience with network switching, routing, load balancing, and firewall solutions
  • 4+ years of experience with Infoblox technologies
  • 2+ years of Python scripting experience
  • 2+ years of cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • 1+ year of DNSSEC implementation and management experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
  • Infoblox Core DDI Config & Admin (CCDA) Certification
